The movie forum is dead. It used to be fantastic, used to be absolutely worth reading. But slowly the gate was lifted and complete toss is there now.

Then come back and post about Arie Fleischer's blunder concerning Bush's visit to Ireland to discuss the peace process.
I may talk about the war, but it's a damn sight more important than "mi teacher mayde me stay late! discuss" or whatever else profundity you feel fit to espouse today.
And what really annoys me, what really makes me want to smack a few of you in the face is this:
Snuggly tried to do something about it, something to prevent the stupid cowman posts that are rising each day.
And what happened? People screamed him down bleating about exclusions and unfairness.
And I said then and I'll repeat it now:
Don't moan because you feel slighted at being called stupid.
Raise your game so you see what pointless feculance is vomited up here in an ever increasing amount.
I'm taking a couple of days off, going somewhere where stupid kids dont feel the need to tell everyone about every single pointless little detail of their lives in the vain thought that someone cares.

Post something interesting, something personal. Something that took thought, time and intelligence.

I won't apologise for being intelligent and wishing to have a forum where that's the norm instead of being drowned under waves of childish gurning.

Forgot to add that it is also a shame that it is driving away someone I consider to be a mainstay of the forums.

Nothing really to add to this as it seems any comment I have has already been covered. It is a shame that Life is going the same way as Chat. I thought that IB's suggestion of letting the dross just drift to the bottom and be ignored was a good one but it didn't work.

Also, as this forum name has changed, any chance you can change 'The Future Of Gaming, Chat' to 'Life and Everything, Chat'. It's name confused me from the first as I rarely found anything in there about games. These topics are usually started in the appropriate console forums.

I don't believe that you count in this and as a newbie regular I hope I don't either, I rarely start topics unless I am just posting something I have written for feedback. Whenever I see you've started a topic I know I can go read a dark story - I don't believe it is counted as spam.

I guess a lot of people here don't like me all that much then, as I can be just as happy reading the really interesting stuff here as I can be smacking Dognuts in the balls, But then I only do the latter in Chat.
I came across Life late on from (admittedly) still wanting to stay on the site in case I won a game, but browsing the forums looking for people with more interesting things to say, and I settled in Life because the people were interesting.
I've tried to keep the standard of Life with my posts, though I'll admit my writing or intellegence isn't on a par to the people I respect here, and because others did the same, Life was a nice place to be. I diddn't go to Chat for ages.
But now I am constantly jumping between chat, life and music in the hope that i will find something interesting to read. All the forums are getting thinner and thinner with content.
Closing GAD 1 will make a lot of difference to the forums over time, as there won't be so many noobs with "which console is best topics". Not that these were the problem, but the then following "shut it, dirty noob" posts that gave the aura that we diddn't like strangers in these parts, which as I saw it, was the beginning of the end.

Well, hello all. After a brief hiatus, I've arrived back to see the forums in disarray.
It seems that a rash of misguided individuals does seem to be taking over all the threads and even the last bastion of reason, The Life Forum, is not safe either.
I just thought I'd mentioned the reason behind my prolonged absence from the forums, namely promotion! My daily routine is so hectic that i don't find any time to frequent the forums. The flipside of this is more responsibility, more money and higher job satisfaction. So, like the Murphys, I'm not bitter.
And, with the benefit of hindsight, methinks this was a wise decision anyway as the general quality of the users of the forums seems to have descended into a farce, for want of a better word.

And now ? Yes there are some good posts here still - but they are being swamped by threads which quite frankly are suited to Chat not here - maybe Snuggly can start moving the junk ???
All this does is put people off coming here - and yes maybe it is snobbish - wanting to go to part of the forum for some sensible discussion ? nah - it's not - it's just wanting this place to try and keep to a certain standard that is slipping away at a dramatic rate at present.
