Apparently Madonna wants to adopt an African baby and her husband isn't too keen on the idea. Angelina Jolie seems to enjoy collecting babies from all over the world and Brad Pitt would rather make his own. I think I recall Michael Jackson wanting to adopt a child from every continent at one stage, I hope that never happens :/

What is with celebrities and adopting children from poor countries? Sure it's great that they're giving them a better life but if you really want to help, how about donating a few million to help a lot more orphans. I dunno, like Guy Ritchie he's worried "his wife may just want the child as a celebrity status symbol". Would celebrities really go that far?

Sounds like Madonna adopting this Kiddy has gone ahead! The boys mother died shortly having giving birth to him. The boys dad seems to be thrilled by the idea of it all.

To be a celebrity's child would be hell. If you're not named something incredibly stupid like peaches or Brooklyn, than you're carted around like you're the latest accessory.

Would you want your kid taken away from you by a rich stranger?

Though you have to be careful with donating and who exactly you'll be donating it to. If it's to charities working there who help build houses, get clean water etc then that's fine but if you're just writing a cheque out to the government there, well, we've already seen just how much exactly actually gets to the people who need it

... and everychild has a mother! Not everychild has someone to love and care and provide for them.

There no doubt using them as the latest hollywood fashion accessorie. It might be a cool thing to have an adopted kid on your arm...

You have took a child from somewhere that had nothing, to somewhere thats got everything... They will think it makes them look good.

Where dontaing a large amount of money, less likely to not be noticed and once its donated in time its forgotten.

I dont know you can look at it in many ways...

Either way it would have been better to donate for everyone! Make more then one person happy.

It's wrong for them to do it for popularity - but if they cann't have children of their own and will really care for that child, I've no problem with it.

But it is for fame though, so I think they're a bit sick for it!
