Apparently Madonna wants to adopt an African baby and her husband isn't too keen on the idea. Angelina Jolie seems to enjoy collecting babies from all over the world and Brad Pitt would rather make his own. I think I recall Michael Jackson wanting to adopt a child from every continent at one stage, I hope that never happens :/

What is with celebrities and adopting children from poor countries? Sure it's great that they're giving them a better life but if you really want to help, how about donating a few million to help a lot more orphans. I dunno, like Guy Ritchie he's worried "his wife may just want the child as a celebrity status symbol". Would celebrities really go that far?

Ah right, so could it be that he will be returning back to his country then. Not followed the story lately!

UK would have been better, it would make more sense. The people in these other countries need more help to learn to survive and then there would be less orphans to look after. Taking a child from their native habitat is not solving the problem.

And now the father says that he didn't understand what he was signing and thought the boy was just going to England to study...

I suppose that we will all look at it in different ways though right.

Some people are going to think were saying its a bad think because 1, she is well off and does have alot of money where she could help more then one child. But do we say this about anyone else adopting, hmmm are we been to harsh on her i dont know.

Maybe were all just to quick to judge!

Would we be saying this if she adopted a child from the UK or America?

It seems a lil selfish for her to be 'helping' these children out of poverty by adopting them. Surely if she cared about them that much she'd want them to stay with their natural parents, perhaps donate some money to help the whole family ...

It really does seem like some sort of publicity stunt ... 'look, I'm caring, I'm adopting an underprivileged child'.

Though maybe that's just cynical ...

Born in 1958 in Michigan, just like my mum. She's 48.

As well if she wasn't too old to have any more kids herself this kid wouldn't have gotten a look in.

Watching that kid yesterday coming in to the airport. The amount of people there, the guards the nanny etc... Madonna the person adopting this kiddy was nowhere to be seen. You would have thought she would have made it to meet him off the plane. Was the Media to much for her or something... I mean how did she think this poor little lad felt!
