I'm bored of watching Simpsons Videos
I'm bored of watching Babylon 5 videos
I'm bored of watching Buffy videos
I'm bored of spending my time surfing the inernet
I'm bored of playing video games.
I want some excitement, but I don't know how to go about finding it.

I never said you weren't talking to Ros. But you did say that while quoting from me.

I was talking to Ros! You know, the one who started this topic and who the advice was aimed at.

Shame on you. I’m watching the Simpsons at this very moment, it hasn’t become boring to me yet...but of course I haven’t seen them before what with me not having Sky TV.

I'm not 23 and facing adulthood. I'm 24 and realising that I'd rather be a 10 year child oblivious to the real world and prancing around fields trying to jump and land o my head for fun than have responsibilities and needs and hormones and a modicum of intelligence or even common sense.
It's true what they say; ignorance is bliss. I don't want to be 24. I don't want to be an adult. I don't want to have to earn money. I don't want to have credit cards and overdrafts and loans.
What do I have to look forward to? Not a lot. Settle down, get stuck into the debt trap, live to work and occasionally disillusion myself into believing it's all worthwhile by taking two weeks out of 52 holidaying in some far off place so I can say I'm experienced and cultured.
Wonderful. If there's an afterlife, I'll commit suicide as soon as I get there.

Been there - done that - Yesterday in fact.
Three weeks left to work and then I will be an official slacker - though looking after the kids will keep me busy, and the washing and the ironing and the gardening and the decorating....

Balderdash! It all depends on whether you're a miseryguts or not. Who says 23 is facing adulthood? That's balls too. 23 is young, 30 is young, even 50 isn't too young to do something different with you life. It all depends what you make of it. There's nothing wrong with watching videos and surfing the internet all day as long as it doesn't become a fixation, and in Ros' case, it doesn't sound like it ever will!

I shall rephrase in a more caring manner:
Why do you say you are bored?
There are a lot of things out there that can make you not bored, but change is the main.
For instance I am currently pondering whether to hand my notice in or not.
Why? Because I'm bored here. So rather than worry and get stressed over it, by this time tomorrow I shall either have handed my notice in or demanded a pay rise.
To be honest, I'm fed up here and wasting my time and theirs. Dont get me wrong, it's long been a childhood ambition to be a deskmonkey for a fragrance house and I'm chuffed I made it.
But there's more out there and not enough time to get it in.
