Looked through and can't find any other thread like this, just plenty of single threads making a few points.

Try keep it all in here just to clear up this forum a bit and prevent information being posted more than once.

Anyone being watching the news at the moment. About the possibility of the pilots being captured in Baghdad. The news shows Iraq soldiers shooting around the area near the edge of the river and setting fire to some fo the bushes.

Um...so, the UK troops who have died because of accidents. That's not UK incompetence is it? That's just one of those things in the lap of the Gods, right?

Yet if the US are involved, then it's entirely their fault? Erm...

If people didnt watch the oscars last night, Michael Moore (director of "Bowling for Columbine")'s speech:
"We live in fictitious times. We live in the time where we have fictitious election results that elect a fictitious president. We live in a time where we have a man who's sending us to war for fictitious reasons. Shame on you, Mr. Bush. Shame on you."

Good for him.

There were some statistics in the Metro this morning...

If I remember well they were something like this;

14 Americans killed (6 Accidental)
16 British killed (all Accidental)
75 Iraqis killed

And despite precautions otherwise, the "stars" decided to air their views at the Oscars.

What a bunch of inbreds.

From what i read they got caught in the middle of a fire fight when some Iraqi soldiers motioned to the allied troops to be surrendering then suddenly opened fire.

I didn't agree with the army allowing reporters to go along with them and this is a perfect example of why.

Seems that Terry Lloyd the ITV news reporter has been killed in Iraq.
Most will recognise his voice and his many reports from the frontline. Always sad to hear news like this but the circumstances about how his life was taken seem to shock everyone.

His vehicle came under fire even though it was clearly marked that they were press.
