Absolute Class

I bought the first and second series on DVD the other day, and even though Kryten (who has to be my favourite character) only makes a brief appearence in one episode, its just the dogs knackers. I recommend

'Emergency, emergency, there an emergency going on'

'Riots in Japan over the total immersion video game were brought to a halt when rubber nuclear weapons were deployed'

'There all dead dave'
'There all dead dave'
'everybody's dead dave'
'gordon bennett, there all dead dave'

'so you don't want to know about the two supersprint starships tracking us dave''where are they from?' there from the NORWEB federation for your crimes against humanity''NORWEB?''The North West Electricity Board dave, 3million years ago you left 17p in a bank account, now, thanks to compound interest you own 94% of the world wealth''Why NORWEB?''You left a light on in the bathroom, I've got a final demand here for 180 billion pounds, no ones got any money except you and NORWEB'

Hollie has to be my favourite character in these two series, shame he didn't make it to the third onwards.

Anyone else like it.

Anyone know when the Third Series is out on DVD?

Oof, dunno about that - the newer series are what drove me away.

My mate bought each of the first two series when they came out. I wasn't too impressed with the first series, but the second was spot on!

Holly is, indeed, a great character. Ridiculously funny, especially when you can see only his head...

Between the first and second some mysterious things happend, I recently noticed...

Hollie becomes clearer (In the first series he is pixellated)

And all of the Rivets in the sleeping quarters suddenly turn light blue.

And theres a banana on the wall....

The third series is absolutely fantastic. From my memory, so it's probably wrong... convo between Cat and Lister.

"Cat?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you find Wilma sexy?"

"Wilma Flintstone?"

"Yeah."

"Well... I'd say, Wilma Flintstone has to be the most desirable woman on the planet."

"Good... I thought I was going funny... what about Betty?"

"Betty?... I'd go with Betty. But I'd be thinking of Wilma."

"...God, what are we talking about? This is crazy... we're talking about sleeping with Wilma Flintstone for God's sake..."

"Yeah... she'd never leave Fred and we know it."

When Holly made his comeback in Series 7 it was excellent. They're not going to make a series 9 until they've shot the Red Dwarf movie.

The best part is at the end of Series 1 where there are 2 Rimmer's...

Rimmer: Now that I've told you about my death do you promise you won't ever bring up the Gaspacho soup incident?

Lister: Yes, I promise.

Rimmer: No, do you really rerally promise

Lister: Yes!!

Rimmer: Lister, you may be a scum bag slob, but when it comes down to it your a man of your word.. and a true friend... but do you really promise?

Lister: Yes I solomnly swear down on my grandmothers grave that I'll never bring up Gaspacho soup again.

Rimmer: Thanks Lister. Now lets go get some sleep.

Lister: SOUPER.

LMFAO!! THATS A CLAAAAASSSIIIC!!

Im afraid they're not doing a series 9. Not in the near future, anyway. The movie (delayed for years) is shooting now and will be out in the Summer. It'll be the most expensive UK movie ever!
It's probably one of my favourite comedies: that and Father Ted, Blackadder and Black Books.

I doubt there'll be a film.

It's been talked about for about 5 years, and never happened, so I wouldn't get your hopes up...
