The calculations are correct, and you might want to try download accelerator as I have said bellow (address bellow) and see what results that gives you, as the Windows downloader is pure crap.

Thats SR's server, its not that fast. Tends to take quite allong time on mine.
Quick question, do the 2 small pcs have blue screens all the time when loading files?

I may give that a go, but I refuse to let Pipex off the hook purly because some extra software speeds it up. They tell me I'll get a faster connection through their ADSL, and that's what I expect.
go to Start > Programs > and see if you have a menu there labled: SpeedTouch USB.
If so open the program SpeedTouch USB Diagnostics (PPP) program. Then look at the bars at the top when you load a page. However far they go up is how much data is being sent to you by the websites server.
If you dont have it can you tell me what make modem you have?

Not there falt if the Websites server is crap, is it? you wouldn't blame SR for selling you a crap game, as they didn't make the game.
The software that comes with it tell me that the kbs data rates are:
288 transmited.
576 received.
Is that correct?
