I have an ADSL service .... quite what speed it is, is anyone guess. But certainly not as fast as I had expected.

I'm with Pipex by the way, £23.99 per month.

That's 160k.. do you live a long way from your exchange? How much do you pay?

I'm not to far from the Exchange, probably just over 1 mile.

I'm pretty sure I signed up for the 512 service.

ADSL from pipex running at 576,000 bps.

Don't ask me why it goes faster than it's spose to (512,000 bps) , becuase I dont know!
