The top ten reasons why a games console is better than a wife/girlfriend!

10: Your console only needs to be kept in games, significantly cheaper than shoes and haircuts.

9: Your console won't mind if you ignore it for a week or two.

8: Your console won't wake you at 3 in the morning, just to talk.

7: A console will never say it doesn't want to play because it has a headache.

6: Pressing the right buttons is easy with a console.

5: Your console won't mind if you play with other consoles.

4: Your console won't tell you that you've already had enough to drink, and subsequently if you can't perform, it won't mind.

3: When the time comes to replace your console, it won't take you to court.

2: Your console won't mind if you want all of your friends to join in.

And the Number One reason why a games console is better than a wife or girlfriend is:

A console comes with a manual.

I can't really say that all my posts are joyful to read, but I certainly haven't got all those posts for posting on the record one over and over...

I think it's something to do with the absense of life.

Sorry rhino I think you misunderstood my meaning here. By saying that I wouldn't be posting any more than usual, I mean in the amount of posts, not the length of each one.

And by quality rather than quantity again I was reffering to the amount of posts. I'd rather post a few things, that I enjoyed writing that some people might enjoy reading, rather than posting countless messages asking where everyone is, and the like.

I'll post long messages if I feel like writing some.

Yeah, it's nice to know how much time I spend on here (roughly) when I could be writing incisive articles for The Times instead. Agree that quality not quantity counts. But quantity is good for fun (sometimes).

Anyway, here's another top ten: All time favorite characters from games:

1. Rinoa Heartilly (Total babe)
2. Cloud Strife (Best character development)
3. Duke Nukem (Funny guy)
4. Ripley (Sigourney fan, ok?)
5. Sonic the Hedgehog (The Super Mammal)
6. Wiz (Fun guy)
7. Solid Snake (Tough guy)
8. Tanner (Hard man)
9. JC Denton (Cool)
10.Lara Croft (Babe)

You can work out the games for yourselves but most are pretty obvious.
