The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
So we would like your comments in this BUG TEST. An extra prize will go to the person who contributes the most to improving this site with little tweaks or solutions.
LITTLE TWEAKS are the operative words. You will not win anything for suggesting that we spend £35 billion on a re-design.
You must post your comments under this topic (or the similar one on the Playstation 2 forum) to stand a chance of winning.
Good luck
The Winner will be decided on Christmas Eve
I would just have the most brilliant posts
what gamesystems we own/have acess too
This would help you build up a profile of users
For SR members it could then be possible to put in our membership number, and say change our mailing address easily from the site and see our SR account details. Although I understand this could be awkward to do due to security! I think you could implement the details section to collect useful info for SR, such as put in a question like
Are you a SR member
what systems do you have acess to
etc...
Where did you here about this site?
this could help you target the sales on the forum to the people that use it!
It could also be possible for us to customize our own profile...i.e. put a picture on it, our top 10 games etc ..info about us that would be available to other forum users, people could then acess this (not our passwords of course, just what we let them see) by clicking on our name next to one of our posts)
*Ant smiles wickedly and walks off to eat more sugar*
And only be able to write short things.
(You'll be right at home then, you single minded idiot.)
I believe I am double minded, as you damn well know.
As there's quite a few people mentioning the nickname situation I thought I would just confirm what is happening.
To change your nickname, or any other details, use the Edit Your Details link above the messages.
If you change your nickname you will need to QUIT YOUR BROWSER before the changes take effect.
However, the system will change next week so that it is updated automatically
Thanks, itll be nice not to have to wait.
Do you think there could be anyway to Start a new topic simultaneously on multiple forums. Because sometimes you get a game that is on multiple systems, say like
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Round 2.... incases like this, I have to cut and paste and post it on the PS1,PS2 and Dreamcast forums separately.
Its not to important, if that would be technically hard, as Im used to navigating around the forum, but it could save some time.
