Is there any need to do that to a woman of that age? What harm could she do to the git who did this to her?

If you must burgle people, why not just take stuff and leave? That's completely unnecessary.

Errrr...

Anyway. The IRA, although they are child killers, do have some good tactics.

I read about a robber they caught. They hammered stakes through his elbows and knees in a garden and left him there. He survived but I bet he wasn't able to use those limbs again to rob a house.

Lol Pappa.

Anyway, back to the discussion, I think Blair needs to seriously reconsider the justice system. Criminals don't fear it, and that's the very premise on which the Justice System is supposedly built.

the up_in_smoke opinion would consist of:

i don't care about criminals, why do you all hate me? why do i look like a bad facsimile of prince william? why am I a complete cretin?

anyway, detracting from an interesting discussion, sorry guyz....

Excellent.

I guy was telling me at work that his son had been burgled. Problem was that someone saw the burglar leaving and knew who he was.

The son went round and got the stuff back but left it for a while because the police warned him not to do anything. So he left it a while then paid then burglar a visit.

Revenge is a dish best served cold :)

Heh - yeah!

But seriously, what will happen? If they ever catch the person who did this, what will he get? Probably a fine and maybe some community service. 6 months inside at worst, where he'll have 3 hot meals a day, a fully equipped gym, colour TV and probably a pool table.

What kind of deterrant is that? Jesus, even I wouldn't mind that. Free gym and free pool table. I can't get that after 12 years of honest work!

basically, I'm not a massive fan of the films, but i can see where charles bronson is coming from in the death wish series. if something like that happened to you, you wouldn't want the mediocre justice system to get hold of them, you'd want them to know what true pain was like.

sometimes I think communism isn't so bad .........
