Its not so easy to push these rumours aside when a member of Microsoft (Robbie Bach ?) mentioned that Rare were only to be the first of a number of developers Microsoft are looking to buy.
Has to be said, if Microsoft are successful in adding both Capcom and Sega as exclusive developers, the competition are in real trouble.
Both companies have very strong titles to their names. Especially Sega with their excellent games.
Then of course Capcom are already providing us with Steel Battalion, Capcom Vs SNK and Marvel Vs Capcom and we all know what other games they are responsible for. :-)

Actually they use the Triforce board with Namco and Nintendo, and Namco have always supplied the leading Arcade boards.

Always mate. ;-)
I've heard that a Streets Of Rage game is being developed and we could also be getting their new Shinobi game too. Another Sega title I'd love to see on X-Box is Golden Axe.
And this might sounds lame to some, but I'd love to see what they could do with Altered Beast now. :-)

I care mate. :-) Capcom are responsible for series such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Dino Crisis and top 2D beat em ups such as Street Fighter 2.
Of course theres plenty of room for the developer you mentioned too. :-)
But as far as being tactical in your buying goes, Capcom is definatly the better move.

To back that up Sega are using Xbox hardware to power its mew arcade machines. All future sega arcade games should make it to xbox then I take it.
Would be great to see a new Daytona, Streets of Rage or Sega Rally game on Xbox.
Crazy Taxi 3
Jet Set Radio Future
Toejam And Earl 3
Shenmue 2
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Sega GT 2002
Sega Soccer Slam
House Of The Dead 3
NBA 2K2
Phantasy Star Online V2
Virtua Fighter 4.1
Beach Spikers
Gun Valkyrie
Plus I think theres other sports games to add to that too. So it looks like MS and Sega have a good working relationship. So I certainly wouldn't bet on these rumours being strictly untrue.
