Trust me it won't happen.
Rumours that rare had xbox dev kits a few months ago probably were true, that why no new Rare games were shown at E3 for Gamecube. Xbox PD etc are all probably a few months into development.
Not everyone has to love Mario more mate. ;-)
Better example:
Those Japs never have and never will like FPS games.
Therefore, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark owe all their credit to Rare.
And I know that SOME of Goldeneye's team have left, but that didn't stop Rare from doing a fantastic job on Perfect Dark.
And then there's Jet Force Gemini.
Could've benefited from tighter controls and a slightly better designed deathmatch, but certainly a great job considering the innovation, and will provide the building blocks for a fantastic sequel.
If the N64 managed the original...

Well I don't remember Nintendo helping on the likes of Conker - and in my opinion, that was a better game than Mario.
So that's all the characters that have appeared in their games other than Donkey Kong and Starfox.

Banjo's a little sketchy. I think Nintendo helped with the first Banjo game, or at least own part of the rights. After all, he was in Diddy Kong Racing. All the others are likely to leave the GC though.
