Trust me it won't happen.

Ah! That's different. That's because the PS2 was genuinely a pig to devellop for. Wondered why Dreamcast games initially out-did PS2 ones?
There you go.

Wouldn't rate it high on reliability though.
Rare helped DESIGN the Gamecube and ensured that it had the hardware they wanted. Possibly an opinion of a single coder.
Anyway, it's only after Nintendo refused to buy them out that Rare went crawling to Microsoft. Not that it's anything bad against Microsoft, but they weren't Rare's first choice. :-)

I personally think that Rare don't need that sort of support anymore.
All they need is technical support to get used to the Xbox hardware (something which MS CAN provide), and then the rest is up to them.
The N64 game was brilliant, although had a couple of slight flaws which prevented it from being a Goldeneye topping classic, but could easily be rectified for an N64 sequel, let alone a next gen one!
was a wicked game that.
wonder what will happen to it.
Anyway, where did the "old rare" people go???
