The more I see about this game, the more I want it. The graphics, the bosses (particularly the shark), the atmosphere all seem to add up to a must buy game, but I'm still not sure.

You guys have played it, so what are the good parts? I've read reviews, but a little persuasion about the fun factor, etc would be nice. Is it worth buying?

Dunno if I'll bother with Resi 2 and 3. I won no. 3 once anyway when my Brother borrowed the it on the PSX. And I could probably get no. 2 for the PC for about a fiver on Ebay or something. I'll probably get code veronica because that's not really very old and I've never played it. I will get Resi 0 and if number 4 is as good as or better than 1 I'll certainly get it!

The graphics ARE being improved, but to a standard of say.. Code Veronica X on the PS2. They won't be as good as Resident Evil (GC Version, of course), but they'll be miles better than the N64 copies.

Completed this as Chris the other day as well as Jill.

My brother (as Jill) didn't give Barrys gun back, and got a very poor ending.

No explosion, no sunset, and a monsters eye at the very end.

Oh dear :)

Actually there basing the conversions on the Dreamcast versions as these versions contain extra files etc which go some way to explaning future plots, etc. Also Resi Evil 3 never came out on N64 thats why the conversion isnt based on it,why i dont know seen as N64 had Resi Evil and nearly ZERO, but the console was dying so they released Dinoasaur Planet AND Resi Evil ZERO on GC........sneaky but wise..good job NINTY

The lovely Jill Valentine, but I defeated it now thanks anyway. I'm currently back in the mansion having fun blowing up lizard-men with incendiary shells. Wazzo!
