The more I see about this game, the more I want it. The graphics, the bosses (particularly the shark), the atmosphere all seem to add up to a must buy game, but I'm still not sure.

You guys have played it, so what are the good parts? I've read reviews, but a little persuasion about the fun factor, etc would be nice. Is it worth buying?

Yes, but I prefer a challenge that isn't considerably made up of a poor control system and stupid angles.

Conflict Desert Storm on the PS2 has tons of ammo in it, yet it's still really hard on medium/hard settings because you can't take out all the enemies and survive- try and you run out of ammo and get over run.

Resident Evil is supposed to be a team of special forces in a house, obviously the worlds first special forces to carry no ammo whatsoever, and rather rubbish weapons. More enemies, more weapons, more ammo, better game.

Cheats ? There aren't any and I'm not buying a £25 AR cartridge to play a £36 game !

A FPS view would be nice, but it would make it so easy! Almost guaranteed head shots, so there would be no Crimson blokeys, and it would be a lot easier.

But cool. Moving and shooting would be excellent. But no, I have to say that is a flaw, but it makes the game more tense it not being there.

Lastly, I agree with the last comment!

Roll on!

Yes.

Concerning the ammo issue - it would be better if, every time the player had no more ammo left, he or she could go to a set location (possibly the typewriter), where an ammo clip would regenerate whenever needed. THis would create the challenge of getting there by running away from zombies, yet not punishing you later on when there are a stack of zombies that need to be killed. A bit like Halo's shield system.

The whole point is that there is no ammo. If there was loads of ammo lying around then what would be the point? It wouldn't be scary as you would know that when a zombie popped up you could use a completely overkill method and still have more than enough ammo to kill anything else. Code Veronica was a bit like that.

It seems like you want the ending handed to you on a plate.....do you not want the challenge?

I reckon it'd be a better game if there was a bit more ammo around, it gets a bit tedious having to run away or around zombies most of the game, plus being able to switch to a fps point of view to shoot would have been excellent, headshots would be so moch easier then.

It;s a good game in many ways, but I can't help feeling much of the difficulty in it comes from poor controls, camera angles and an iffy shooting system - can you actually move and shoot ? I can't.

Good, but roll on Mario Sunshine and Starfox, and Eternal Darkness :)

If you like a good jump and a good shooting of the Undead buy this game. Also it is almost graphically perfect.

£40.00 is a lot if you're still at school. So would you guys recommend it over Doshin The Giant?
