I doubt we'll be seeing any X-Box vs Nintendo player matches online. Although MS might show some interest, I don't think Nintendo have enough interest in online play to ever do it.
Plus only Nintendo's broadband users would get the chance to do it.
Mind you, you never know what the future holds. Maybe we'll both get a surprise oneday. ;-))

Hmm.. There's still that crucial 49% that Nintendo own. I suspect Rare will go semi-multiformat for just MS and Nintendo. That would be good, I'd like to play against some X-Box owners!
And even Rare can't have the Perfect Dark name for some reason, its quite simple. They make the same game with the same engine to it, change the name of the title and at worst put in a new character in place of Joanna Dark. Problem solved.

Yeah I know, but Rare will have to think up new games, as most of their franchises are partly owned by Nintendo.
If the Rare/MS deal is official, Starfox Adventures will be released on GC as normal, then further games for Nintendos console will be terminated, coming out exclusivly for Xbox.
Games on the GBA will be unaffected, Microsoft are keen to work with the handheld machine.

Because they've served their purpose - keeping Nintendo out of the crap by releasing some of the N64's best games.
The attitude seems to be one of "we have developers now so Rare can die for all I care."
Personally I'd be happy if Rare develop for the X-Box as it will expand the genres for the console. Conkers is a game I'd buy if it were released and even though I'm not a big fan of all of Rare's games, there are a lot of people that are.

Well reading that bit from IGN it looks like Rare will be making games for Nintendo and Microsoft, but who knows, i'll wait for something official on this.
