"The Getaway to big a game for Gamecube."

I for one can't wait to see if the Getaway can come up with the kind of gameplay and graphics that it reputes to have. Having seen the screenshots signs are very encouraging.

The thing is a friend of mine asked if there was going to be a GC version. A Gamecube disc would not be able to store 1 square mile of London let alone 20miles, so sorry mate you stick to your kiddie titles like Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon.

Plus they sell so well on PS2 becuase you would but barbie explorer.
thats why when it comes to GC and Xbox they dont do any good becuase the games are used to good games.

Mainly people hurling abuse at you and your crap topics, and whn it's not that it's other noobs or lesser-regulars just making themselves look stupid as well.

Ok, so many of the PS2 games are now available on ports to other consoles. But most of the time, these games came out first on PS2, then GC and XBox and PC follow on. The ports don't look any better, because they are the same data converted to another format. So the code doesn't get to use any of the "extra" power within the newer consoles. Problem is, the games are popular - so GC and XBox can't do without them. But by the time they get their "ports", most people already have it on PS2 anyway. The software studios were set up mainly for PS2 development, back when GC and XBox were nowhere to be seen. These studios couldn't then just chuck away that investment, so PS2 development became and has remained the dominant form.

However, I do like the look of the black GameCube - yes this looks better than PS2, and loads better than XBox.

By the way, I only ever let slip a few spelling errors. There are many more made by others I note!

Why not Xbox and GC have been living off PS2 titles ever since they were launched.

A PS2 owner walks into a shop and looks at the Xbox section and says: "Got, Got, Got, Got, had, had had"
