I for one can't wait to see if the Getaway can come up with the kind of gameplay and graphics that it reputes to have. Having seen the screenshots signs are very encouraging.

The thing is a friend of mine asked if there was going to be a GC version. A Gamecube disc would not be able to store 1 square mile of London let alone 20miles, so sorry mate you stick to your kiddie titles like Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon.

I think you will find that the early footage was beta code, and as for there being a GC version ever heard of sarcasm.

Well, a basic dvd can hold 4.25Gb on one side. Using dual layer mode, you can get 8.5Gb on one side of the disc. Repeat this on the flip side and you have 17Gb. Using higher rates of compression, you should in theory get even more on the disc. Now, will PS3 get the Sony BlueLaser DVD. If so, we can expect around 30Gb on a single sided disc.

I think you will find they are using dual layer technology and if you dual layer a proper format like dvd you would get 8.5 gig on each side 17 gig all together if you wanted to flip the dvd so eat that.

Look, Techno Freak, I'm a SonyPhile and should rub in whatever insults on Ninties I can, but this is ridiculous. PS2 can:
a) Barely handle The Getaway itself - early versions crash frequently.
b) The Getaway is developed by Sony so they are not going to try and get money to there oppositions nw are they?

Get your facts straight man!

Because I've seen many people give proper answers in the other posts he has already made. I don't need to simply rewrite what everyone has written in a new post. He just won't learn, and neither will you, it seems.
