"The results of the largest survey of gamers this year has revealed that Xbox is the top console of choice this Christmas.
Over 12,000 US gamers were asked, "What console do you plan to buy in the coming year?" and 39 percent answered Xbox! 27 percent answered PlayStation 2, and 17 percent plan to pick up a GameCube.
The study also showed that game demos are the most influence over game purchase decisions. When asked "Which of these items highly influence your game purchase decisions?" nearly 8 out of 10 respondents (78%) ranked game demos the number 1 factor, far ahead of the number 2 response: game reviews (47%). Both television commercials (35%) and magazine ads (31%) trailed furthest behind as drivers."
Not bad eh?

Well the X-Box can't do anything more than the GameCube can graphically, and also, GameCube games tend to be just that bit cheaper than X-Box ones.
Hence 'undersold'

Eh?

Americans.

I aint explaining it to you guys, except Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound its ONLY in the Xbox and PS2 (except in the PS2's case DD is only available during FMV sequences)
Pro Logic is'nt Digital - It follows analogue waves and beams sounds at different frequencys to each speaker which gives a fake surround sound effect.
Digital, well, developers program in their games how the sound works in a game, So different Sounds would be sent through various speakers and a Subwoofer sends out all the low-bass sounds.....
I've definatly seen my mate on sites that have good prices though accross all formats. Hmmmmmmm, have to ask him about it. Anyway, I'm off to bed now. ;-))
Its only really good if you got an American Xbox though ;)
Hope SR aren't annoyed with me for writing that. :-| If its any consolation they'll be getting plenty of cash outta me over the next few months. ;-))
But where can I get cheap Xbox games from? Looking around Play.com, SR, and Gameplay they seem to be quite dearer.
