Just got an email today from Microsoft saying that Iam one of the people to be chosen for Beta testing for XBox live. The email says :

" Thanks for waiting to participate in the beta. The response exceeded 100,000.

We wanted to let you know we plan to send you an email no later than September 20th regarding your status to potentially be included in our beta test program.
You're at the top of our pre-registration list for our ongoing beta program. So you'll be the first to create a Gamertag and the first to know when it's time to get in this incredibly intense, high-speed gaming experience. That means you can start creating a rep before most.

In the meantime, check out http://www.xbox.com/live/ for the latest news and updates on Xbox™ Live. Or, copy and paste the link into your browser.

Thanks again for your desire to participate in the beta and you will hear from us soon. "

This is great news for me as Iam really looking forward to player XBox online.

You think its bad enough without anyone replying at 11:39 you should try getting a reply at this time. My mom keeps going on at me to get to bed earlier as school is back next tuesday, but I come to life at about mid-night and I am full of energy, I fancy going for a run! The other night at 12 I went for a 5 mile run and got back at 15 minutes to 1, I enjoyed it as I live near the country so the road was a long stretch into a different village and the road was very dark, I could hardly see the pavement. My sleeping apttern is terrible, I aren't going to be until 4 and 5 and I only go then so I aren't wrecked for the next day. I think I had better stay away from garlic and sun-light if my condition gets any worse (not that I like garlic), who knows, Buffy may becoming to my home before September 13th (notice the advertisement)!

ps. I am not a Vampire for people who have already decided to stop speaking to me, I just have tendencies which portray the characteristics of a fully fledged vampire :D Oh well, this time in a couple of weeks and I will probably be doing course work and what not, but the reward will be a set of results that I will be proud of, I can then use them to work twice as hard at A-Levels and then even harder in a job, Ironic eh? Working hard to work hard later on in life, when will the human species learn?!

I'm gonna work hard too, I want good results. I see it as a challange and in that respect I find Exams,HW cousework etc a little bit easier to do.

I think I've worked well enough in the first year. Like you I think all my Cousework so far has been good, all my English pieces so far have been A's. :P

Lets bet... Lets bet... Or lets not! I am serious about these next 8 months more than anything, so far I have scored B's and above for all my courseworks, I have just got to look over work and crack on with stuff. I will probably only post on here at week-ends or whenever I have some time free, but as soon as the exams are over I will be back on here as before.

Quite a few people in this Xbox forum have/are gettting Broadband, I for one will have the service before christmas of this year and with a bit of luck (although many will disagree) Microsoft won't luanch Xbox Live until after my GCSE's next year, that way I can play endlessly without the worry of revising and getting work done. I know that doesn't apply to all of you but that is the way I would like it:)

It'll have to be original, catchy and cool. It should also be pretty layed back, not to serious like. The less cheese the better.

It's unlikely that I'll have broadband in time for the UK launch of XboxLive, but I'm sure I will get it eventually.
