Who are you planning on moving to???

At this time, I've got either Freeola or BT Open World in mind. Freeola as I've found them one of the best in the dial-up area, and they host my We Site, BT as they own most of the network and 'in theroy' know more about it, but we will see.

Yeah for me too pipex have seriously gone down hill in the past 4 - 5 weeks. Especially as they have installed these new Dslam cards. Been more of a downgrade instead of a upgrade. Check out www.adslguide.org.uk and check out the pipex forum within the page. More and more people are starting to leave and utilizing the migration system. I will give them another week or so before I change.

At last I've finally just got home to find that I still didn't have a network connection. Rebooted my IPCop box and voila, connected first time.

Yippee :-)

Just wonder how long this will carry on for but in the meantime I think I'll start downloading a few things.

ah, had a look at that network status page and so guess I'll wait till tomorrow before doing anything.

I called their helpline and couldn't even get in the queue, just given then 'Number you have called is busy, please try again' message.

Didn't read any of your replies before posting.

Ironic, I say its fine... 10mins later, dead.

Its been a few hours now so I set up my modem to come and have a look.

Bloody Pipex, its time for a change.

Glad to hear your ok and good luck at Uni.

As I said, I've been connected now to Pipex since beginning of May although it took them a while to sort out the problems at my exchange but that was a BT fault.

Been rock solid for the last 5 months and have had no real reason to complain and wouldn't at the moment unless it carries on like this tomorrow. Unforutunately Pipex dont seem to update their website status page too often when there are problems.

Just checked the ADSLguide site and some people are starting to reconnect but slowly, Pipex have also updated their status server site so if your friends are trying to constantly connect it may pay for them to wait for a while as the servers are being swamped by everyone to try and reconnect.

Maybe leave it for an hour and see what happens, I'll let you know tomorrow what the state of play is as I'm off out for a few beers tonight :-)

Iam fine thanks Jive, starting 2nd year of Uni on Monday :(

Anyway I am on the 81.xxx.xxx.xxx IP section and have been since I was connected mid June. Havent changed on to the 62.xxx.xxx.xxx, but the server IP I connected to was a 81.xxx.xxx.xxx. And now its a 62.xxx.xxx.xxx. I perfectly happy with Pipex, mine isnt down at the moment and the only downtime has been last Sunday afternoon till monday mid morning. Had 1 or 2 30min downtimes but nothing big.

My 2 friends that are on Pipex cant connect and they are only a few mintues walking distance away from me.
