SPAIN WIN EURO 2008!
Germany win a free kick, they shift it to Ballack who fires it into the top corner for 1-0. Lahm has been on a couple of runs and his shot goes wide but his influence is growing.
Austria needs to push and Kienast heads wide. Austria trying to take the game to Germany with 15 minutes to go. Klose runs into the box and Macho stops his progress. Germany come close from a corner but Macho saves Austria.
Frings fires a shot but it's wide as gaps start appearing at the back as Austria push forward. 3 against 1 and Neuville can only shoot wide but that's the end of Euro 2008 for Austria.
Poland V Croatia
Guerreiro has an early shot but it's easy for the Croatian keeper. Croatia take lead when the ball bounces free down the wing, Klasnic is free and Pranjic finds him and Klasnic hits low and in the corner for 1-0.
Poland are now in a desperate situation with Germany ahead and need results elsewhere to improve. Guerreiro receives the ball in the box, turns and shoots inches wide as Poland go close. Pranjic has a shot but it's caught by Boruc.
Poland have a header saved by the Croat keeper. Poland have a few long range efforts but they are really poor. Rakatic sends a free kick over the bar as this game begins to fizzle out. Smolarek jinks around and shoots but it sails wide. Smolarek now looks lively but his shot goes over.
Zahorski gets the ball in the box, one on one after s defensive missed interception but he can't beat the keeper and that certainly knocks Poland out. And it does as Croatia win.
Klose does well and finds Gomez 2 yards out and he somehow scoops it up and it's cleared off the line. Podolski finds some space and fires a long range effort and it's turned away by the keeper.
Most of the danger easily mopped up by both teams and the only major incident was the coaches get sent to the stands for what was a pretty tame row. Austria will have to push more in the 2nd half.
Poland V Croatia
Dudka gets a free header from a corner but misses the goal. Pranjic and Croatia beat the offside trap but his chip over the goalkeeper is off target. Croatia come close from a free kick which is headed agonizingly wide, although Vejic didn't know much about it.
Klasnic gets free and it's one on one with Boruc but Boruc wins and the score remains scoreless. The Croatians work it well down the left and the angled shot is saved by Boruc. Leko hits one from distance but it goes wide. Klasnic wriggles the ball past the defence but Boruc blocks it again and Rakatic's long range chip is wide.
Poland look to go forward quicker but Croatia have a nice rhythm and created some good chances. Poland have to win to stand a chance of qualification and they'll have to do better.
*prays for Italy on tuesday*
Nihat flicks at one after a mistake in the Czech box but it goes over. Turkey seem reluctant to throw bodies into the box and Tuncay has a header saved.
Koller breaks free and tries to pick his spot but he shoots wide but the Czechs score again as a cross comes in and Plasil throws himself at the ball and the keeper can't keep it out. The Turkish bench is going crazy as they wanted to make a subsitution but there didn't seem to be a gap in play to do that.
Tuncay flicks a deep ball but it is straight into the hands of Cech. Polak throws himself at a cross and his header hits the post. Turkey get back in it as the ball gets pulled across the box, Arda is in space and he finds the corner, despite Cech getting a hand on it.
Turkey come close to get level as a long deep cross finds Servet but his header is poor. Then drama - Cech comes to collect a cross and he drops the ball into the path of Nihat who has a simple tap in. Unbelievably, the Czechs don't deal with the danger and the ball is slipped into Nihat's path and he curls it over Cech and it flicks off the underside of the bar and in for a quite incredible turn around.
More drama as a long ball is punched out by Volkan and Vlcek's header rolls wide but Volkan pushes over Koller and Volkan is sent off. The Czechs can't score and that's it. Turkey progress and the Czechs go home.
Swiss V Portugal
Nani clean through after a defender fails to intercept but his shot hits the post and goes out of play. Inler gets a ball across and Pepe doesn't know too much about it but it just goes wide as the Swiss almost go in front by an own goal.
Inler smashes a fierce shot but it flicks the outside of the post and wide. The Swiss take the lead as Derdiyok knocks the ball to Yakin and he finishes. He was onside as the Portuguese defence was caught out.
Meira brings down Barnetta in the box for a penalty. Yakin steps up and puts the penalty away for 2-0.
Sionko sees it open up but his shot is over. Volkan does well to stop an onrushing Sionko but a minute later, a superb cross finds the head of Koller and Volkan gets a hand but can't stop it going in. Turkey need to level this match to stand a chance of qualifying.
Swiss V Portugal - Portugal playing flamboyant football with Quaresma and Nani. The Swiss had a chance when a deflected shot could have gone anywhere but it was in range of Ricardo in the Portuguese goal. Nani's freekick flicks off Pepe and the Swiss knows very little other that it comes off his hand and onto the bar. Bruno Alves has a header saved.
Inler smacks one from a long way out but it's tipped wide by Ricardo. Nani nicks the ball away from the defence and finds Postiga in space but his shot is poor. Hakan Yakin's header is well saved by Ricardo. Postiga sticks the ball in the net but is flagged offside despite being onside. First half full of brief spells of activity and then not a lot going on.
Pirlo out for for Robben
Bouhlarouz out for Pranjic
Senderos out for Carvalho
I fully expect Toni to get a hat-trick with assists from Pirlo and Poldolski to get sent off now.
Also, my fantasy team is giving me a headache so I'll just have to leave it.
Pavlyuchenko skips past a defender but his shot hits the side netting. Karagounis' shot is saved. Basinas shoots over as Greece try to get back in the game. Russia fight back and get close with a shot that curls away from the far post.
Charisteas header is not powerful enough to beat the keeper and Greece are looking more and more desperate. Zhirkov hits a curling free kick just over. With only 5 minutes remaining, the Greeks are having trouble getting and keeping hold of the ball. Russia are a good pass away from finishing the game off on the break.
The Greeks have the ball in the net but the play was pulled back for offside. Russia wasting lots of time as key seconds tick away. Russia break and Pavlyuchenko misses an easy chance but it doesn't matter as Greece depart the tournament and there will be new champions on the 29th.
A dangerous ball into the Russian box bounces awkwardly but the defender gets it clear. The ball is lobbed too far and the Greek keeper chases it, a Russian hooks it back in, the keeper is now stranded and Zyryanov is in acres of space to score.
Torbinsky heads the ball into the ground and over from a cross but was flagged offside. A long range effort flies over as Greece get more and more pinned in. Greece are in all sorts of trouble at the break and the defence of their title could be over.
Senna's driving run and shot is saved by Isakkson. Hansson gets free and slides the ball across the box and it was just out of reach of Henrik Larsson. Torres stings a shot straight to Isakkson but time is running out.
In stoppage time, a simple long ball isn't cut out by the defenders and Villa is free to slot it past Isakkson to steal the win.
