Well, its about time they showed some ambition hence buying the likes of Sherwood does not show any ambition, but a mediocre team.
But now they are going they are trying to buy players that would almost certainly turn down a possibility to come to England unless the Likes of Man U, Arsenal etc were interested.
Why dont they be realistic rather than ambitious and go for steals such as Geremi, Juninho, Diao, Diouf etc such players like would stabalise Spurs and improve their squad.
Yes those players are gone, but there were many players that caught the eye at the World Cup, but still Hoddle trys for the audacious bid rather than get a stabalised team to compete for something next season.
Spurs fans what do you think?
likes of Joe Cole et al are openly admitting

Not that many teams with that many players over 30, and thats just the ones i can think of. they drag your average age up quite a bit.
I'm not saying that everyone there is old in fact Davies is one of my favourite youngsters and i like etherington too, (but king is vastly overated) but they do look a bid ragged really and the fact that 9/10s of the team is so injury prone! Its a good thing the shirts are white, soon it will compliment the colour of their hair!

I don't need to learn anything!
Spurs are an average team at best, and relegation fodder at worst. They may be improving, but they have a long, long way to go before they can even begin to be considered a top team again.
And with that clown Hoddle (I know his aunt by the way - used to work with her - very nice lady), it won't exactly speed things along. Bet you're gutted he recommended Wenger to Arsenal!
If you consider mid-table mediocrity for the last decade to be improvement, then "we" aren't the ones with a lot to learn!

But it will be. Not necessarily because we'll come top, or even in the top four.
Spurs fans will be laughing (or at least smiling) because this season will see us take another step on the building process. We don't expect success overnight, and i'm confident we can finish within the top six, which will be a step forward.
Wherever we finish, i'll be laughing, because i'm Spurs through and through, and i'll support them through to the end.
Once again, it seems people find it just too difficult and out of reach to be realistic, and objective. How much we all need to learn.

Your on, I want to see you eat your "proverbial hat".
Now, you've sparked another of my favourite arguements. One of the oldest teams in the Premiership?
You reckon?
Shows just how much most people THINK they know about football.
Name this "ageing" team then? We've Sheringham, Ferdinand, and Poyet who are indeed moving towards retirement, but who else? Who else is there that makes us any different to any other Premiership side?
We've some oustanding young players, more than most teams, and our team is generally quite young now.
So, tell me, who is it that makes our team one of the "oldest" in the league?
