Yep, just bought a Satrun along with Magic Carpet and Fighting Vipers (this game is amazing! Can anyone remember how do do the Pepsiman cheat?).

Anyway, I'm savouring the box... haven't played yet.... might just have to plug it in soon...

I can still remember when the console war first started, the PS1 and Saturn had just come out. Everyone seemed to own a PS1 (despite the stupidly high price) but the Saturn still had a chance. Too bad it was dead by the time the 64 came out (the 64 even managed to outlive the Dreamcast)

Just looking at THQ's site (they publish Sega's GBA games). Turns out that the first 3 Phantasy Star games are coming out (in one cart) as well as a crazy taxi game.

Sega could have a great run as a third party deveopers... instead theyre still making ports and poor sequels- why? They have one of the biggest in house dev teams in the world, and plenty of creative genius. It's nice to see some games like Shinobi and Panzer Dragoon getting remakes, but why aren't there many original, epic titles?

:)

the only good thing about Sega pulling out of the console market is that some of their older games may get re-released.

I still play games on my Gamegear. I have got a fantastic RPG called Defenders of Oasis, does anyone remeber it?

I mean to buy a dreamcast at some point so that I can finally play the Senmue and Phantasy star games.

I hope that Sega make a really good go at being a third party developer.

To this day I find the Saturn to be my favourite Console of all time. I loved the games I played on it back before 2000, some of the multip-layer ones were the best and we could play them four hours, V-Fighter, Daytona, Sega Rally being on of my All time fav's, as well as HOTD, Sega really made the Saturn a special bit of kit with some of the Arcade conversions they had, its a shame it went out the way it did.

But how anyone can say this was a bad console with crap games is beond me. It was the most played on console me and my friends played, Bomberman with its 10 player mode rocked :o)

... I cant believe I almost sold it to get a Playstation, that was the last time I listend to the 'majority', if you see how I mean.
