Hi. Looking around I've noticed a lot of posts under the names of things such as 'SSBM - Help!', and 'Super Smash Bros. Melee Tips?' and things along those lines. Well, anyway, they seem to be ten a penny at the moment, so I've taken the liberty of making this the help thread. Thank-you, thank-you, hold your applause...

Anyway, I'll start us off. I can't get further than 215 meters in the home run contest. I've been using Ganondorf. Anyone got any tips or strategies? Who's the best character to use?

I have the paper mari tophy! I got it a week ago. :D

Anyways, I have a tip for 'Seven years' event match (for those of you who can't complete it) I did this and can complete it in under 30 seconds!

Jump down onto the platform next to the turtle, and stnd under the platform above, but poking out a bit. Older Link will atatck you with his down+ A move, so block it. It should send him into the water, depending on where you were standing.

;D

I just found out yesterday that smash bros melee enables the 6ohrtz option. All you have to do is hold down B whilst you turn the game on and it will give u the option for 60hrtz mode!!!

First of all you want to be dodging and jumping and jabbing at them with your sword with A to get their percentage up. Next, you want to start using some B moves where necessary (like a jump and then UP + B for sword spin if they're above you). Finally, once they're around 150%-200%, start using some SMASH attacks by tapping the 3D stick sharply and pressing A at the same time.

Also, you want to use items to your full advantage. For example, the best way to throw a Poke ball is to jump above your opponent and press DOWN + A to throw it down onto them. This will stun them, giving your Pokemon enough time to 'hatch' and start attacking. Also, as your Pokemon won't hurt you, you can go in and start attacking your foe, whilst they're trying to deal with your Pokemon.
