Sony scored a big hit with the PS1 and platinum games, which were affordable quality games that had to sell a certain amount to turn platinum, while N64 was still trying to sell cartridges for £64.99 Sony's platinum range came in at £19.99 and proved a big hit.
I am glad to see they are carryiing on the tradition with there PS2 platinum range. I mean lets face it GT3 is a far superior game to Project Gotham and yet it is have the price. They say you have to pay for quality but on this evidence you don't.
If the abb' is MB then it's MegaByte
If it's Mb however, then it's MegaBit.
It's like a 56Kbps modem doesn't connect at 56 KiloBytes per second, but 56 KiloBits per second.
However, providing it does what it's supposed to, a memory card is a memory card no matter who it's made by.
Datel's 64MB card is definately VERY good value for money, and saying it's not a fair comparison when comparing it to an 8MB card just because of the developer is absolute bulls droppings!
Would a rose not smell as sweet if it had another name? (Any Shakespeareans, don't bother correcting my quote :P )
I for one believe that it isnt the price you pay for it, although it would attract a lot of people, it is actually the games you play on it and that really is the only reason you should buy a new console for, good graphics are really just an extremely good extra which a lot of us takes for granted.
Or thats what my official one cost
And the thing I was really saying is that nintendo helped them get it cheaper I don't think that's something Sony would do.....
PS2 official £25 8 megabytes
GC Unofficial £30 (wait for it...)64 Megabytes
And the only place nintendo comes into this the unofficial mem card was gonna cost £45 but nintendo pursuaded them to put it down to thirty and nintendo gave them cheaper materials and how much did nintendo get for doing this? nintendo didn't want any but the games company gave them a measley 5 percent which wouldn't even pay for half of the materials they gave them.
I Rest my case...again....Who knows maybe 3rd time lucky?
