"Concerning ALL users of the X-box forum."

I don't think I've seen anyone call the X-box rubbish because of it's size. If people have, then they deserve a kick up the backside. Is a Jumbo Jet rubbish because of it's size? If it was smaller it wouldn't be a Jumbo Jet. The only reference to the console's size I've seen is either from X-box fans accusing 'Ninties' of moaning about it, or from Dark Mark and his very humourous comments about needing a team of architects to design it.

I have, on many occasions, seen people criticise the GameCube because of cosmetic reasons though. Colour, size and even the fact it has a handle! So bloody what? The console is only the shell for the hardware!

Comments about the controllers. I find the X-box controller really uncomfortable. I've got large hands so that can't be the reason for my discomfort. Whatever the reason is, I still find it uncomfortable. That doesn't mean everyone else finds it comfortable, just the same as if you find it comfortable, it doesn't mean everyone else does.

To me, the GameCube controller is the most comfortable controller I've ever used. I used to think that of the Dreamcast's controller before the GameCube, so no one give me that "Ninty" crap. Not everyone has the same opinions and we all have the right to express them.

Daveus for some reason believes that we, who don't necessarily enjoy the X-box as much as other consoles we've played, have no right to our opinions. Infact, as you may be aware, he told me...sorry, ORDERED me to get out of the X-box forum because of my opinions! Why he thought he had the authority to do so I do not know and I will take this up with the staff if I have to. If everyone who likes or has liked previous consoles in the past wasn't allowed to post in here, the X-box forum would be empty!

Debation (even in mass quantities :D) is what the forums are about. Some people will like one console, others will like another, and some will like every one of them. That's what these forums are about! The X-box forum isn't designated for X-box fans, just X-box topics. Anyone can post their opinions. Otherwise, what are you doing here other than to see other's opinions? Oh, I forgot, you're writing long and meaningless topics to try and win the X-box game of your choice. Those of you who do only come here for the competition, get out more! If you come here for the community, for entertainment value, for opinions and discussions on gaming matters - AS WELL as to hopefully win a game of your choice, then good for you.

Now this goes for everyone who reads it, no matter which forum they are in, atleast take note that other's have opinions too. There's no point in being selfish, no point in getting yourselves worked up, and in Daveus' case, there's no point in making a right fool out of yourself by trying to play Hitler! Have fun, keep the peace and just enjoy yourselves a little. I personally don't come online to see bullying, name calling, exclusion and pettiness. If I wanted that, I'd go back to school! I'm sure you don't come on here for those reasons either.

Only in your opinion. Personnaly I beleive GoldenEye to pretty much be the only first person shooter worth owning (and half-life). That Staw Wars game will never be able to beat things like Skies of Arcadia and Golden Sun, and thats a gameboy game!

But in my opinion they arne't the best in the genre!!
Best FSP ever: GoldenEye
Best RPG ever; Skies of Arcadia
Best Racing game ever: Mario Kart

And if you think those will be better 'cause their in the future:
FSP: Perfect Dark: Zero
Best shooter: Metroid Prime
RPG: Skies of Arcadia 2 (or Golden sun on the Cube)

I'm not! I genuinly (sp?) don't like those games! Why do you think I bought a GameCube!? Because it has the games I like, ok?

I am not saying that I am right and you are wrong becuase its your opinion and you will have to play the games, but I find it hard to understand why, if you like games, wouldn't want to play the best in its genre just because Nintendo didn't make it!

I will admit, I would love to see Perfect Dark 2, Resident Evil and the new Zelda on the Xbox becuase they are all going to be amazing games and they will (in my opinion) be bench mark titles. If Nintendo had the Halo series or the Shenmue series all the Ninties would be in here stating how awesome these games were, but becuase they appear on another console they turn all defensive! Why?

So there, according to me the X-box will fail miserably...but it's only my opinon of the games, other people will love most if not all of them. So don't post stupid lists like this in an argument, they mean nothing.

ok, nice post there (parts that i read). just a few things i wanna say. i'm not dissing your (or anyone else's) large hands but you may find the Xbox controler uncomfortable because your hands are too big. eg: a bloke who's 7' likes cars like; Ford Fiesta, VW Polo and Vauxall Minis...but he can't get one because of his height, he'd find it too uncomfortable, so he has to get a family-sized car. hope you understand that :-S

i do agree in some ways that games do sell consoles. i was inspired to buy my Xbox because of two games: Buffy The Vampire and The Matrix. and the fact that it's most powerful. i didn't even know about Halo until a few weeks later. i think Xbox sales will increase very rapidly. some people didn't look into the future of Xbox (new games). i did. here's a list of what i wanna get, and there's still more to come that aren't on my list! and there's a few great games that aren't on my list THAT WILL appeal to others. and some i need to read into before i put them on my list. even now some people are saying stuff like "the only good game on Xbox is Halo" - BULL, and you all know it. "it only has a few good games on it" - that's BULL too. there's many great games on it and MANY more too come! :-)

I also work in a games shop. People are concerned about the size of the X-box. It's true. Although, many people are concerned about the GameCube because of the lack of games so far. We still manage to sell equal amounts of all consoles, whether it be the X-box and GameCube or PS2 and GBAs...

Not at all. It really TRULLY depends on that customer.

I sell a hell of a lot of GC's or course, I sell a lot of PS2's and the Xbox's are sold to the people that want them. If someone says they want an XBox I will push it. :)

I like all consoles. I don't like Microsoft though.

Not at all, I sell what I think 'that' customer will have the most fun using. I also think SR should give me lots of games, as I do recommend lots of customers to shop here if we don't have the product in stock. Even old N64 games.
