I don't think I've seen anyone call the X-box rubbish because of it's size. If people have, then they deserve a kick up the backside. Is a Jumbo Jet rubbish because of it's size? If it was smaller it wouldn't be a Jumbo Jet. The only reference to the console's size I've seen is either from X-box fans accusing 'Ninties' of moaning about it, or from Dark Mark and his very humourous comments about needing a team of architects to design it.

I have, on many occasions, seen people criticise the GameCube because of cosmetic reasons though. Colour, size and even the fact it has a handle! So bloody what? The console is only the shell for the hardware!

Comments about the controllers. I find the X-box controller really uncomfortable. I've got large hands so that can't be the reason for my discomfort. Whatever the reason is, I still find it uncomfortable. That doesn't mean everyone else finds it comfortable, just the same as if you find it comfortable, it doesn't mean everyone else does.

To me, the GameCube controller is the most comfortable controller I've ever used. I used to think that of the Dreamcast's controller before the GameCube, so no one give me that "Ninty" crap. Not everyone has the same opinions and we all have the right to express them.

Daveus for some reason believes that we, who don't necessarily enjoy the X-box as much as other consoles we've played, have no right to our opinions. Infact, as you may be aware, he told me...sorry, ORDERED me to get out of the X-box forum because of my opinions! Why he thought he had the authority to do so I do not know and I will take this up with the staff if I have to. If everyone who likes or has liked previous consoles in the past wasn't allowed to post in here, the X-box forum would be empty!

Debation (even in mass quantities :D) is what the forums are about. Some people will like one console, others will like another, and some will like every one of them. That's what these forums are about! The X-box forum isn't designated for X-box fans, just X-box topics. Anyone can post their opinions. Otherwise, what are you doing here other than to see other's opinions? Oh, I forgot, you're writing long and meaningless topics to try and win the X-box game of your choice. Those of you who do only come here for the competition, get out more! If you come here for the community, for entertainment value, for opinions and discussions on gaming matters - AS WELL as to hopefully win a game of your choice, then good for you.

Now this goes for everyone who reads it, no matter which forum they are in, atleast take note that other's have opinions too. There's no point in being selfish, no point in getting yourselves worked up, and in Daveus' case, there's no point in making a right fool out of yourself by trying to play Hitler! Have fun, keep the peace and just enjoy yourselves a little. I personally don't come online to see bullying, name calling, exclusion and pettiness. If I wanted that, I'd go back to school! I'm sure you don't come on here for those reasons either.

Just do me one favour....Listen.

When I typed Edgy I meant Tiltawhirl! Look back, I have said 'ITS GOOD TO TALK TO *SOME* GAMECUBE' owners but when there are only a few about then there is nothing I can do about that!

So you think it is fair that the Xbox is always put down do you? YOU CLEAR OFF!

Define a Fanboy! If a Fanboy is someone who enjoys playing games on a particular console then discuss them with *DECENT* people then I am guilty as charged! I haven't said one bad word about the GameCube in this forum so what are you talking about?

Fanboys go into other forums dropping cheap arguments (like you) and then sling insults towards others in that forum and you wonder why I retaliate towards people like you!

I stick to this forum (and Dreamcast) talking about Xbox games and discussing with decent GameCube owners like Er-no and Edgy, but every once in a while I meet people like you and it puts me off coming on!

Earth to Hitler! You're doing a Daveus here! Nintendo fans have just as much right to post here as X-box fans! Now clear off the whole SR forums before I tell my mummy!

Shenmue sequels will rule that's all I have to say about that.

You're speaking to the wrong Ninty's then, i'll be the first to admit that some Ninty's are biased fools but it's the same with Xbox users, some are sensible some are Daveus. The only reason I come on these forums is for a discussion and sometimes I find myself defending the GC to chimps who have trouble forming sentences let alone putting across a valid point. Garbe you've sorted yourself out recently and respect is due for that but a little while ago I can remember you where typing this so called biased nonsense.

It's matter of taste here but I would say Jet Force Gemini, it has a lot longer lasting appeal and the shootings more frantic.

Question them but don't try and shove it down their throats that they're wrong, I hate the Final Fantasy series but a lot of people would say they where the best games ever. There's no point shouting at me though cause it's not gonna change my mind.

By the don't take any of comments the wrong way, a lot of people on these forums seem to get stressed when they receive any kind of criticism, I'm not having a go at you :D

Ok, what I said about Halo having a sequel was wrong, I admit that.

Funny that, I get that off Gatesies too!

I've not played Max Payne so I can't say whether any game is better or worse! Anyway, just because you can't think of any you've played that are better than Max Payne, you shouldn't assume no one else can (as your above paragraph suggests)

A high score in a magazine is just an opinion. It doesn't mean that everyone else will consider it such a good game. Look at NOM, they rated South Park 90%, most people hated it!

We are all entitled to, as we all are entitled to defending our own opinions.

Last I heard it was, and I don't want it anyway, it's just another boring Tom Clancy piece of crap isn't it?

Then you've never looked in the Nintendo Forum then have you.

You come in saying in a very sly way that the

Actually we just defend the GameCube from X-box fanboys like you, sure there are some spamming newbs, but everyone has them.

Its always, "that is good, but you
> should see the GameCubes alternative".

Rubbish, I tihnk you'll find X-box owners claim thier version will be better because its more powerful, even though the vast majortiy of multi-format games are made on one concole and directly ported to the others.

Now to me this gets very

umm..I haven't said any GameCube games were brilliant, I made a small list of some of my favourtite games for each genre and thats it.

do you not

I haven't called anybody, where would I have got their phone numbers from?

Firstly, it wasn't aimed at you!

Secondly, sequels aren't developed just to iron out flaws as you suggested. Sequels are designed to carry on the story, what you are saying is that if a game is perfect why make a 2nd one? In my opinion Shenmue on the Dreamcast is near perfect but because of this Ryo should sail the seas forever instead of going to Hong-Kong? No, you are wrong here.

Thirdly, I said it is your opinion and I am entitled to disagree with it, isn't this the freedom of speech whilst discussing in an orderly mannor? Mostly all I get of Ninties is biased pathetic non-sense!

Fourthly, name a better 3rd person shooter than Max Payne? I play a lot of 3rd person games and I am yet to see one better this!

Fithly, I am not saying any old game is good to me, but when a game scores above 90% in all magazines then I think we can safely say that someone will get enjoyment out of it somewhere! If I had said Splashdown then fair enough it is down to opinion, but Halo is an experience which is totally mind-blowing! You would know if you had played it (same with Max Payne).

*I AGREE*, people are entitled to their opinion but sometimes I question peoples judgements of some truly superb games, aren't I entitled to?

Here we go. I type a topic all about how everyone has different opinions which means they don't necessarily like all the same games that you (as in whoever's reading this) like, and we get this message by garbe123 who has either not read the original message in this thread, or has completely misinterpreted or taken no note of it.

There are many games I don't want. I don't want Tony Hawk's 4 and 5. I didn't get Tony Hawks 3 because I didn't like Tony Hawks 2 on the Dreamcast. It just doesn't appeal to me. Sure, the Tony Hawks series maybe considered the best in the genre, but it doesn't mean that everyone likes them!

> Crazi Taxi 3 - I've got Simpsons Road Rage on the GameCube and Crazy Taxi 2 on the Dreamcast. Both these games, although fun, haven't really got my grip tightening on the controllers as I've been playing them and their life-spans are too short. Sure, I might try Crazy Taxi 3 if it ever gets ported to GameCube, but it'll be a try before I buy.

> Doom 3 - I'm interested in seeing what this title is like, but if it doesn't do for me what Doom and Doom 2 did, then I wont bother. If I do get it, it will be for PC.

> Halo 2 - I haven't tried the original as of yet, but even so, I do not believe the original was perfect (as Edge seemed to think it was). If it was perfect then why would there be the need for a sequel? Anyway, I wont be getting Halo 2, not because I don't like the original (I haven't played the original), but because there are many other FPSs I want instead such as Perfect Dark Zero (which is NOT made by Nintendo) and Turok Evolution.

> Metal Gear Solid: Substance - Metal Gear Solid 2 bored me. I'd rather watch a DVD movie than see about an FMV-movie with the odd occasional moment of interaction. I'm not saying this will follow suit, infact the only thing I know about this one is it's title, but I do know that it doesn't interest me.

> Star Wars Knights Of the Old Rebublic - I'm a fan of Sci-fi games, so I might possibly get this once I've put some research into it. But as of yet, I know little about the game so it will be very low on my mental list (see topic titled 'Priorities' in the Nintendo forum).

> Unreal Championship - Unreal and Unreal Tournament are enough for me. I don't want another Unreal game. Thats that.

> Max Payne 2 - I haven't tried the original yet and I know little of the sequel, so it's also a game I wont be considering.

> Well, in my opinion Halo 2 will take the FPS shooter crown, agreed?

I disagree with your opinion.

> Max Payne 2 will take the best shooter crown, agreed?

I disagree with your opinion.

Metal Gear Solid
> Substance will contend for the best sneak em up crown, agreed?

I disagree with your opinion.

Star

Even as a Star Wars fan I disagree with your opinion.

If you think that's the reason then I believe you to be one of the most naive and stupid members of the forums. I am a bigger fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog series than I am of the Mario series yet I am more loyal to Nintendo's consoles and games. I am more likely to get Sega's Skies of Arcadia game than I would many a Nintendo RPG. I would rather Acclaim's Turok games than any Nintendo FPS. No one 'wouldn't want' to play the 'best in it's genre' just because they prefer Nintendo games. Being the best in the genre also relies on opinions. Sure, the games you mentioned maybe the best to you, but they aren't to me, so is that because they're not made by my favourite developers? NO! It's because I prefer other games, not neccesarily by Nintendo, in those genres.

Ah, but I would still not be getting the Halo series, and I, having Shenmue 2 on the Dreamcast, hate the Shenmue series. There's more gameplay in a toaster than there is Shenmue 2! There are one or two games on the X-box I would like to see on the GameCube - Jet Set Radio Future for one, but there aren't many that actually bother me.

I suggest you read the first message in this topic one more time before replying.

For the last time, SPLINTER CELL IS *NOT* going to appear on the GameCube at this present time! It is only for the Xbox and PC!

You go around calling people:

Muppets
Retards
Idiots

If you are perfect then I am glad I am NOT!

Is the GameCube forum utter pants becuase I see more Ninties in here than I do anywhere else. You come in saying in a very sly way that the GameCube is better than the Xbox and PS2 but it is clear to me and most others what you are like! Its always, "that is good, but you should see the GameCubes alternative". Now to me this gets very boring after a while especially since I am not interested which is better as we will always disagree. If you were in the GameCube forum saying how good a game was then that is fine but when you go around into other forums saying the same it gets very annoying, do you not think the Xbox has ever seen a good game? I suggest that you stop calling people as the faults lie from within yourself!
