The "Xbox Games" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
I don't think I've seen anyone call the X-box rubbish because of it's size. If people have, then they deserve a kick up the backside. Is a Jumbo Jet rubbish because of it's size? If it was smaller it wouldn't be a Jumbo Jet. The only reference to the console's size I've seen is either from X-box fans accusing 'Ninties' of moaning about it, or from Dark Mark and his very humourous comments about needing a team of architects to design it.
I have, on many occasions, seen people criticise the GameCube because of cosmetic reasons though. Colour, size and even the fact it has a handle! So bloody what? The console is only the shell for the hardware!
Comments about the controllers. I find the X-box controller really uncomfortable. I've got large hands so that can't be the reason for my discomfort. Whatever the reason is, I still find it uncomfortable. That doesn't mean everyone else finds it comfortable, just the same as if you find it comfortable, it doesn't mean everyone else does.
To me, the GameCube controller is the most comfortable controller I've ever used. I used to think that of the Dreamcast's controller before the GameCube, so no one give me that "Ninty" crap. Not everyone has the same opinions and we all have the right to express them.
Daveus for some reason believes that we, who don't necessarily enjoy the X-box as much as other consoles we've played, have no right to our opinions. Infact, as you may be aware, he told me...sorry, ORDERED me to get out of the X-box forum because of my opinions! Why he thought he had the authority to do so I do not know and I will take this up with the staff if I have to. If everyone who likes or has liked previous consoles in the past wasn't allowed to post in here, the X-box forum would be empty!
Debation (even in mass quantities :D) is what the forums are about. Some people will like one console, others will like another, and some will like every one of them. That's what these forums are about! The X-box forum isn't designated for X-box fans, just X-box topics. Anyone can post their opinions. Otherwise, what are you doing here other than to see other's opinions? Oh, I forgot, you're writing long and meaningless topics to try and win the X-box game of your choice. Those of you who do only come here for the competition, get out more! If you come here for the community, for entertainment value, for opinions and discussions on gaming matters - AS WELL as to hopefully win a game of your choice, then good for you.
Now this goes for everyone who reads it, no matter which forum they are in, atleast take note that other's have opinions too. There's no point in being selfish, no point in getting yourselves worked up, and in Daveus' case, there's no point in making a right fool out of yourself by trying to play Hitler! Have fun, keep the peace and just enjoy yourselves a little. I personally don't come online to see bullying, name calling, exclusion and pettiness. If I wanted that, I'd go back to school! I'm sure you don't come on here for those reasons either.

hmm...literary problems here methinks, I didn't say they were gonna suck did I, I said I didn't want them, it's called an opinion.

Well having owned/played the original worms on SNES and PC, Armageddon on PC and [some console, can't remember which], and Worms World Party on PC and Dreamcast, I can safetly say the games were always better to play on the PC. Apart from the orignal worms the other two versions have had weapons cut out on the console versions, plus it's just better and easier to play with a keyboard.

Okay okay, so one game I said would suck, but having seen videos of it from the Offical X-box Magazine I can safely say that it looked totally and utterly crap. Many other people on these forums have said it looks rubbish as well.

A fanboy is someone who refuses to accept other people's opinions and are determined they are right. Now, I thought this about you because of your comments on the Gamecube (mainly it's controller), but now, you don't seem to do that, and I believe you are no longer a fanboy.

A fanboy is someone who refuses to accept other people's opinions and are determined they are right. Now, I thought this about you because of your comments on the Gamecube (mainly it's controller), but now, you don't seem to do that, and I believe you are no longer a fanboy.

Daveus needs to calm down, learn the facts and approach anyone who he feels to be biased in a clam and controlled manner instead of just lashing out at them.

titlawhirl -Medal of Honour Allied Assault isn't going onto any console now...originally it was rumoured to being ported to the xbox....but now Frontline (the one that was released on the ps2 earlier) is being released on the Xbox and Gamecube as well
and Frontline and AA aren't the same game...missions are different and the ones that are very similar such as the beach landing has a different way of completing the mission

Daveus, calm down, Microgarlicbread isn't worth getting so worked up over, he doesn't know what he is talking about and he is very critical of other people. Edgy and Tiltawhirl however can be approached although after that speech I think you will need to appologize. Its people like him that get me worked up as well, he resorts to insults and anything that comes into his head, the best thing you can do is ignore him and don't lower yourself down to his level of inteligence.
On my behalf any decent Ninty reading this, please don't take those comments personally towards the GameCube he is just very angry towards Microgarlicbread which is understandable but it was unnessecery to call the GameCube when it is only one person who is offending, please accept my appologizes on Daveus' behalf.
