Okay, sorry for the lenghty delay but it's been a madhouse round here for the last... blimey, that's almost a month. No matter, because we've picked a winner. A lot of you simply suggested we sell stuff cheaper, or 'knock off a tenner to make it look good' which isn't really very productive - what we were looking for was a mixture of suggestions for new products, and how best to promote the ones we have. And the person who did that the best was...
DeltaJava.
Well done matey, you win a Game or DVD of your choice up to the value of £50. He suggested we take a look at our prices of stuff like Encarta and Paintshop Pro, compared to other retailers, and tipped us off about some new products to stock like USB2.0 and more TV cards. Basically, his collection of suggestions was the most complete, and for that, he is rewarded. If you scroll back through the topic, his posts are highlighted in yellow.
Anyway, thanks to the rest of you for all of your posts, we'll take the into consideration. Even the ones about boobs and stuff. You kids. Complaints to the usual address, I'll ignore them like I always do.

Here's a really good chance to sl*g off SR.
Take a look at our range of PC parts and peripherals. i.e. anything which works in, with or connects to a PC.
What's missing from the range?
Where are we out of date or over-priced?
Which descriptions fail to do justice to the products?
For example you could tell us that our A03 drives are out of date and over priced and that we should be selling the A04. (posted by Bonzo Banana did yesterday)
You do NOT need to post all of your suggestion in one post. ALL of your posts will be added together for the selection process.
Closes Thursday August 1st.
Mr Snuuuuggly will extract the thread and pass it to our PC Buyers who will say 'Oh my God, what clever customers we have'. They (the un-named and un-shamed) will determine the winner.
Winner gets a full GAD prize. Only one winner folks.
(er-thanks in advance guys. And none of those "getting us to do their work" jibes PLEASE!)
On the cables-leads page - inlcude more small piccies of the little blighters to make the pge more attractive. After all, cable measurements and connections (USB, 1.8M, etc) do not make good reading.
Include more altertive back up storage medum, such as the Jaz drive, or maybe external hard drives, becasue I really want one of those. Oh, and update your pages to include USB2.0 cards, and whrere possible, new USB2.0 devices - they are much faster than the old USB interface, even offering a small speed increase for exisitng USB devices. It's also faster than Firewire!
Anniversary edition of Paint Shop Pro - what are you doing??? (sorry) £80??? More like £35.
MS Dual Strike Pad - I bought it for £29.99 in GAME three months ago, so the saving of £20 is a bit wrong. Last time I saw it the price was £29.97 in Toys R Us.
It would be nice if you sold more mp3 players, most major brands such as goodmans, phillips and even sony have released cd players that can play back mp3 encoded cds as well as regular cds, much better than the napa models you stock and for simIlar prices (some are even cheaper).
Product descriptions could be a litle more in depth, as often yor looking at a product and still wonder if its compatable with this, or does it have this function etc. Prehaps it would be useful if every so ofen you had a guide to... on a specific product range, be it what to look for in cd rewriters, or how different graphics cards compare in use.
Its a little away from the topic, but you could sell midi compatible keyboards for use with your pc, after all you sell the soundcards, the connecting leads and the software needed why not the keyboard.
Your range of DVD's is rather limited, ever thought of extending your range or even partnering up with an online dvd retailer to have a greater stock selection? Also your prices arent competitive with those of amazon.co.uk or hmv. Do you ever have special offers?
Your flat panel monitors might be a bit expensive or worth replacing with cheaper ones. I spotted a 15 inch TFT LCD Monitor for just under £293 and a 17 inch one for £410.
I still think you need a wider selection of adsl modems. A lot of Britain is turning away from dial up connections to broadband since BT dropped their prices. A much wider range with cheap PCI alternatives I stress would be a good idea.
I said flat panel speakers earlier, I found a relatively cheap one: Trust 200P, they are around £20 and look quite attractive. The good thing about flat panels is they take up less space which is good.
I think your hard drive prices are fine...
PC Surge protectors to put under your monitor...
Some cheap Lexmark printers. I'll think of more stuff as it comes to my head.
You shoudl also stock the fujitsu adsl modem (the 12cm square one with usb connection)
in the games accessories part you coudl also sell the adapters to use console controllers on pc's.
Might also be a good idea to get more of a selection of pc cases, such as the nokia 8850 style case that is popular with a lot of smaller pc makers.
In Speakers you coudl stock the Altec Lansing sub and speakers as a good budget sub + speaker combo.
In Printers id also look into the Bt all in one Printer Scanner copier and fax, which is sold for £99 elsewhere (like pcworld)
any questions just ask!
Wireless headphones, wireless optical mice, wireless keyboards.
You should also get one of those cool looking "Pocket USB 56k modems" (that suprisingly fit in your pocket and can be moved easily and can be used to surf the internet.)
USB port hubs for drive bays....
I think your network kits are slightly overpriced at £30 I've seen "Trust" and ones made by SITECOM that are generally cheaper.
Flatpanel speakers? They are cool... and some are quite cheap.
