Any of you lot got any shares?

No matter how good of a invester you are, any shares you have at the moment you have probably lost money. I have anyways :(

I could have sold my HBOS shares for £8.50 a few months ago but now they are about £5.50 :(

Could be a really good time to invest at the moment...Anybody got any good tips?

Uh huh, they made a massive loss last year. Almost £1 Billion. But I think it was due to a one off bungle.

They had been making close to £2 Billion in each of the previous years. Thier shares were always over £10.

Hmmm...they are really poor at the moment, usually if something is performing bad there's a reason for it. On the other hand you could get a bargain.

Two years ago my life savings were worth £10,000, now, when I'm 21 and can touch them, there worth less than £6,500.

Bummer

I already looked into that. Its not your normal share trading thing...some other crap...

Halifax actually charge £11.95 for proper share dealing.

Halifax have something called Share Builder, where you invest a certain amount each month. The charge is £1.50.

They also do just normal trading but that is £11.95.

For Ortega though, who is planning on buying shares every month, Share Builder might be worth a look. More details on the Halifax website.

That is a crap rate, if you can, try and use the Halifax online trading scheme. Its only about £2.50 per deal, and i dont think there is any commision on top.
