Ok, I've just had an idea to liven this forum up.

Quite a simple concept, I'm going to start a World Cup tourny on Pro Evo, and I'm going to let you lot pick a team from the list below. I'll post the scores as they happen to keep you up to date.

DAMN those Ecuadorians. Korea deserve to be there. Anyway good report again and sorry i haven't done reports but i just finished my football trials and now i'm off for a week holiday. Ta Ra for now :D

Quarter Final 2

Slovenia (Ortega) vs Italy (Dead Wonder)

1st Half Report.
The giant-killers Slovenia kick off. Italy push the ball out wide, it’s chipped into the box, headed towards goal…it hit’s the bar and Slovenia clear!
Italy have a free kick in the corner flag position, and a Slovenian defenders been booked for the challenge, it’s crossed in…cleared, Slovenia are on the break, their attacker is trying to wriggle past the last defender… but he’s been brought down, Slovenia free kick, and the defenders been booked, it’s crossed in…headed out for a corner, the corners crossed in…headed towards the near post…and it just goes over, it went inches over the near post, unlucky.
A Slovenian defender has been caught in possession, the Italian strikes early…but it goes wide, he should’ve took his time.
Slovenia are on the attack, the attacker uses some fancy footwork to work his way past, he’s 1 on 1 with the keeper, he slots it past him…but it just crawls wide of the back post, so close.
Slovenia have a free kick in shooting range, he goes for goal…but it hits the wall and it’s cleared.
The Slovenian attacker makes a diagonal run into the corner of the box, and he’s been brought down! PENALTY! The defenders been booked. The pressure is on the Slovenian captain, can he put the underdogs ahead?
He runs up…..shoots it into the top left corner, the keeper goes left…but he wont make it! SLOVENIA HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD! SLOVENIA 1:0 ITALY!!! 42 Minutes gone. Italy kick off.
We’re into injury time, and there’s the half time whistle, Slovenia lead.

Well the giant-killers are at it again, it’s all a question of them holding on, it’s been a great game to watch.


2nd Half Report
Italy Kick off. Slovenia have a corner, it’s crossed in…drifted towards the back post, it’s directed powerfully at goal… IT’S IN!!! SLOVENIA HAVE EXTENDED THEIR LEAD!!! SLOVENIA 2:0 ITALY!!! 58 Minutes gone.
Italy kick off, again. Slovenia are going Rampant, is this really the crappy team of today?
Italy have a free kick in a promising position, he goes for goal…but the keeper some how manages to parry it away from the top corner.
We’re into the last 10 minutes, I don’t think Italy will be able to pull back.
A thru ball has presented the Slovenian attacker with a 1 on 1, the keeper back trots, he goes for goal… it flies past the keeper but just goes over, unlucky.
We’re now into Injury time, Italy are surely out. There it is, the final whistle, Slovenia are in the Semi Final, they will play next, either South Africa (Lord H) or Ecuador (Natbuc & nh)


Badgerman’s Full time thought.
Well, I can hardly say that I’m surprised, Slovenia have created a pretty impressive reputation for Giant killing. But this is the Strange part, Slovenia, Ecuador or South Africa will be in the final :D

France (Big Slow) vs Brazil (Mr. Chainsaw)

1st Half Report
Well well, the two best teams of the game battle it out for a place in the semi’s.
France kick off. France have started the match very lively, having 3 opportunities in a matter of minutes.
Brazil have a free kick near the corner flag, it’s crossed in…Headed towards the near post… and somehow it went just wide of the post, from the angle I saw it, I was just about to say 1:0 to Brazil because it was that close.
Zidane chips in a ball forward to Henry, Henry and the keeper both jump for it, Henry heads t straight onto the keepers hands and it’s looping in the air towards goal… the keeper wont get back in time… but it just goes wide of the post! That’s one of the most bizarrest things I’ve ever seen. France corner, crossed in…headed at goal from the peno spot, the keepers wrong footed… but he some how gets a hand to it, Brazil survive again.
Brazil are on the break from France’s corner… it’s a 1 on 1, can the Brazilian score? He goes for the chip…it’s over the keeper and going towards the net….but the keeper dives on it just before it goes in, unlucky.
All this action with only 15 minutes gone.
France have a free kick in a good position, Zidane shoots…it hits one of hem poles just wide of the goal and rolls along the back of the net, so close.
Now Brazil have a free kick in an even more promising position, Rivaldo has a go for goal…that hits the wall and is cleared.
We’re into injury time. Half Time


Badgerman’s Half Time Thought
What an action packed half it’s been, there’s been so many possible chances, it’s end to end stuff. I just hope there’s a winner by 90 minutes because I’m doing this at 2 am and I’m tired, *in eerie voice* “Be Grateful”

2nd Half Report.
Brazil kick off. France have a free kick near the corner flag, it’s whipped in…headed towards goal…IT’S IN!!! FRANCE LEAD THANKS TO AN HENRY HEADER, FRANCE 1:0 BRAZIL.
Brazil kick off. France have a long range free kick here, Zidane’s going to try his luck, he hits it…just over the bar.
Brazil have a free kick in a promising position, its whipped in…cleared.
70 minutes have gone, Brazil are getting desperate with no sign of a comeback.
Brazil have a free kick in shooting range, it’s curled towards the front post…but it grazes the bar as it just goes over. Roberto Carlos gets booked and in doing so, gives France another promising free kick, Zidane shoots…but it hits the wall and brazil clear.
We’re into the last 10 minutes, it’s looking grim for Brazil. Brazil are pushing down the wing, Rivaldo crosses…but he smacks it right along the ground towards the goal…he hits the post! A flukey cross almost went in again for a second time!
85 minutes have gone. It’ll take a miracle now. We’re now into injury Time. There it is, the full time whistle, Brazil are out, France will play next, either Denmark or Turkey.

On the day, the better team won, France outplayed Brazil in every aspect, although Brazil had some Bad luck, it seems as if whichever team beats England, goes on to win the whole thing. The time is 2:30 AM. Goodnight.
