Well they said it wouldn't happen due to the fact Nintendo use mini DVD disk thingimies!

Well you may have noticed they picked the size disk which is becomming the new midi disk sized cd's.

You can buy 8cm cd's at the mo, and burn music to em and play em in a diskman thing.

But the Gamecube uses DVD's you all say!

Yes apparently the imported cubes can play both so i here Jap and USA games but its expesive about £240 the GCQ is around £500

Nintendo have their special anti-piracy holes thing. Use a magnifying glass and you might be able to see them.

Yeah, but, you have to get a 1.5gb disc. Dvd. 8cm. You also have to get a burner. Well, actually. 2. One to play it and one to copy.

Nintendo have everything covered. There's probably loads of encryption stuffs on it anyway. Its the best anti-piratable console. Disc console that it :o)

Question is who will be taking part in pirating games when the temptation arises?

The Dreamcast used a 100% new, proprietry format that couldn't be bought. Hence no one could copy games...

Until someone programed a CD to boot the console into "gameplay mode", and got it to run games from CDs.

Escentially this is what WILL happen with the GC- there really is nothing to stop piraters do it. Maybe they'll chip the console instead of using boot discs, but it'll happen.

Yeah it has two, seeing as the disc tray had to be expanded for the Q-Cube, 'cause a normal size disc won't atually fit in it, there is a second one that can cover the whole distance as the GC one only spans the 8cm diameter.
