Bollards.
Why can't you see it's exactly the same as the DualShock 2 but with less features? Let's run through this:
· D-pad - check
· Two analog sticks - check
· Four main buttons - check
· Shoulder buttons - check
· Rumble - nope
· Full analog on ALL buttons - nope
· 4 shoulder buttons - nope
· Analog sticks as sensitive as the DualShock 2 - nope
· Ability to drop for storeys and still work perfectly - nope
Excuse me if I'm wrong but surely if it's the SAME shape with the SAME layout but with less functions, that makes it worse? Oh no, sorry, I'm missing out the facts that it's purple and made by Nintendo, that automatically makes it far superior, I'm terribly sorry.
I dare any of you to prove to me that the GameCube controller is better than the DualShock 2 - and saying that "it's more comfortable" is a cop-out.

GameCube has more audio channels than the PS2... and that's the only difference in sound. Not that it makes any difference.

Thats blatently untrue, just the software line up on the cube this year is far superior to any others, yes it is all a matter of taste but compare the big sellers on the cube this year to the PS2's and for the first time in a long time the Cube has a massive lead over Sony... until next year that is.

Do we count Retro Studio's, NTSC, Pargram, Game Freak etc... as Nintendo... no! Neither should you.

Which are so obviously noticable! Who bloody cares? The sound on the GameCube seems to me to be just as sharp as that on the Playstation 2. It all depends on what the quality of the speakers you are using too remember.
That "fresh and new" argument is laughable!

Funny, though, that until Gamecube got multi-format games, there (apparently) no good games on PS2!
As for the comments others have made about Sony developing games... Sony do develop via the internal companies as Turbo mentioned.
Whether they grew inside Sony or were bought is irrelevant - they were companies that were going under, and they are now part of Sony, hence Sony develop games.
If you want a list of just how many games Sony do develop, go to http://www.scee.com and click on SOFTWARE, and use the 'Developer' drop-down list and look for SCEE, SCEA and SCEI.
:D
Howd the tests go my geeky friend?
Eg.
The PS2 has vastly superior sound circuits and technology than the GameCube.
