Bollards.
Why can't you see it's exactly the same as the DualShock 2 but with less features? Let's run through this:
· D-pad - check
· Two analog sticks - check
· Four main buttons - check
· Shoulder buttons - check
· Rumble - nope
· Full analog on ALL buttons - nope
· 4 shoulder buttons - nope
· Analog sticks as sensitive as the DualShock 2 - nope
· Ability to drop for storeys and still work perfectly - nope
Excuse me if I'm wrong but surely if it's the SAME shape with the SAME layout but with less functions, that makes it worse? Oh no, sorry, I'm missing out the facts that it's purple and made by Nintendo, that automatically makes it far superior, I'm terribly sorry.
I dare any of you to prove to me that the GameCube controller is better than the DualShock 2 - and saying that "it's more comfortable" is a cop-out.
But I never said Sony didn't know nothing about games, just not as much as Ninty and they don't have one person who knows how to create a perfect controller as well as Shigsy.

Who knows more? The man who made the controller that knows nothings about games, or the worlds greatest games designer? Idiot.
What mew generation is this?
All Nintendo have done is rehash a few old controllers, painted it pink and thrown it at the salivating masses who just lap it up as they always do.
Basic layout - DualShock
Repositioned analog stick - Sega NiGHTS controller/Xbox
Analog triggers - Hastilly thrown in after realising the DS2 was far superior. But I mean, come on, incremental triggers are SO Dreamcast. Yawn.
Odd C-button - N64 - which was copied from Sony - who copied it from the SNES pad
Amazingly weird and restricting main buttons - Shigsy's dope-fuelled dreams
Is there anything apart from those buttons that is actually new? Sure, Sony have gone for the same layout as before - which is pretty funning good - but at least they've bothered to add some technology to it, pretty amazing and useful technology too.

It isn't a question of who can do what, Dual shock would win, it is more a question of who does it better. I like Dual shock it may steal ideas but it was far the best of the last generation. Just not this one, I insist.

For use in games such as Star Wars Rogue Leader and Smash brothers, taunts and assignments.

Too usable

Mortal combat is analogue and Bust a move can use the d-pad as it doesn;t require a large d-pad to work.

Why not? Have you played Bloody Roar, the buttons are perfect for beat 'em ups, like the arcade sticks with bigger buttons and smaller ones.
> in short - The GC pad is more limited than the Duel Shock.
The Dual Shock pad is last generation and OUT OF DATE UPGRADE IT OR LIVE IN THE PAST! The Gamecube one is designed specifically for the new generation of games, not an updated 64 pad.
