Yep that's right, there's been scores of these starting up, but all have failed. Let's make this thread a place for PC gamers to chat. Post anything you like in here, comments, reviews, but no spam please.

OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

Hi peeps, just popped in quickly for a how-do.

I might get NOLF if I win another GAD Cipro, sounds quite good.

Keep up the good work M.Jimbo, only another couple of hundred thousand posts more and we'll be leading. ;)

And yes, I would willingly buy any sequel to the X-wing series IB.

I'm off again, see y'all soon. :)

Crap, I forgot the B52 was that big giant bomber, I always seem to get the two mixed up, I blame that capital B before their numbers.

Anyway, B17 does look like a good game, but I'm not too sure myself. I assume it's a very realistic game, as most flight sims are and that's one of the resons I'm not into the genre that much. Still I'd like to give it a try.

No offence, it's B17, The Mighty Eighty. The B52 was a big nuclear strato-fortress. It wasn't around until the 50's-60's. I have B17, it's a good game.
Microsoft Combat Flight Sim 3 is out later this year. It's going to be really advanced. As the pilot career goes on, the pilot's eye site will vary accordingly. I would wait until Combat Sim 3 comes out rather than get any of the others.

Well for WW2 flight games there's Rowan's Battle of Britain, B52: flying Fortress the mighty eight, or Microsoft Combat Simulator 2. I haven't got any of these games, but they got good reviews and I myself am currently considering getting MSCS2 or maybe B52.

I'm not sure about games set around the gulf war era, but I did remember seeing a game once where you got to fly planes in the Israeli air force, called Israeli air force I think. It was a while ago so it may be hard finding the game now. There is F/A18 hornet, a very realistic flight sim based on America's favourite fighter plane. A good game, a bit too realistic for my liking though.

Aliens versus Predator
Soldier of Fortune 2: Retro Helix
No one lives forever

Hmm, all FPS, and NOLF and AVP only cost me £10 each, probably one of the resons I bought them.

Aliens versus predator is a good game, it lack a proper storyline that drives the missions along, but you do get to play as the aliens, the predators and the marines. It's authentic to the films it's based on aswell, so if your a fan of them like I am, that just makes playing the game more enjoyable.

SOF2 was a game I'd pre-ordered a while back, and it suffered many delays sinse then, but I finally got my copy a few weeks ago. Well worth the wait, I thought the origanal game was fun, but no classic. The sequel however is bigger and better than the first game in almost every way. Being an action fan, there are tons of thing that I find in the game which cater for my action cravings.

NOLF is perhaps the best out of the three. I would have gladly paid £40 for this game, it's a true benchmark of the genre. I could best describe it as Austin Powers the game, only with a female lead and actually funny almost all the way through. There are plenty of tie-ins with the old bond movies and other spie films of the 60s and 70s. The game itself is great fun to play. The levels are huge, there are tons of weapons and cool little gadgets and also a few area in the game where you get to drive a motorbik and snowmobile. A great game, can't wait for the sequel later this year.

Anyway, today I bought a music cleaning studio, £20 so now I'm listening to "Whitesnake" at mega vol (Thru earphones so kids can sleep) but the good thing is that music is on tape! Apparantly I'm supposed to be able to burn 'owt (yorkshire phrase meaning anything!) onto CD. Haven't worked that one out yet! But as a result not played any games this evening and must say my game shelf is lacking inspirtation! So answer my last question Cipro! You have every game going, surely you must have one that will keep me entertained 'til my dotage?

Last 3 games I bought in reverse order:

Civ2
desert Rats
Silent hunter 2

Am impressed with SH2, but lots to do on that yet! Early days.
Desret Rats is fun if now't (nothing) else! Good shoot 'em up. Civ2 I haven't even put on yet! Would like to start with Civ 1 but can't find it anywhere so am waiting before I start down that road. If anybody reading this has Civ 1 and wants to donate i9t to a good cause.... look no further.

So, come on Cip' me old chum, your last 3 purchases are? and what do you think?

The rest of you can have a go as well... ooh! bug**r my walkman that was playing Whitesnake just chewed the f****, !!**%^$£& neeearghhh! .... anybody know a good MP3 source for Whitesnake hits?
