OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

I don't think FPS appeal to girl gamers as much as other genre's, not my sister anyway who is terrible at shoot em ups, although it must be said, she's quite a whiz at games like timesplitters and red factin on my PS2. There easy games though sinse I don't think console gamers would be able to get half way through such games as SOF2.
My mum strangly likes FPS, again on the PS2, and again she's a bit naff at them. I think she prefers watching me play them because, without sounding too big headed, I'm great at them ;) well perhaps not great, but I am the best games player in the whole house.
Well that's boosted my ego a bit :D
Hold the fort Cipro and make sure the Longest Thread doesn't sink into oblivion. I'll see you all later in the year. Goodbye. :-)
Also, 2.30AM in the morning???? I sometimes stay up till 3.00 in the morning, but not often, and it's usually at the weekend when I can sleep in the next day. I always pay for going to bed so late late though, sleeping in til 20noon before spending the rest of the day half asleep. I need to start going to bed earlier I think.
In other matters, is it merely chance that MightyJimbo has posted his last two posts at exactly the same time on different days......2:28AM?
Your life must be one long cycle. :)

I bet your paying for that now. Whenever I go to bed late or sometimes very early in the morning, I'm usually knackered for the next day or two. Still I get to sleep earlier the next night.
> Have I missed anything?
Not much really. Gaming wise I bought aliens versus predator gold for £10, and it a great especially for the price. I also now have to uninstall the Sims and the three add-on packs I have because my sister did something, which botched it up. She loves the game, so has been pestering me to fix the problem so she can go back on it. I wouldn't have bothered otherwise because it's going to take bleedin ages to reinstall.

Greetings, I have now recovered from my late night, early morning. Didn't go to bed in the end so Sunday/Monday were a non entitiy.
Have I missed anything?

I always try and write reviews cover all major points of the game I'm writing about. The Pro's, con's, who this game will appeal to, why it's great/naff ect.. rather than just a review which comprises mainly of 'This is the bestest game in the entire world' which some reviews tend to be like.
I think it helps putting your own personal viewpoint on the game in question, and say why you find it so addictive or what you think makes the game so great to play, basically writing the review like a gamer instead of a critic. I also learn from my reviews, which don't win, and try and find out what I can improve on in the future. It's much more helpful than moaning about it like some users do.
Another thing I've noticed is you have more chance of winning GAD if you review a game, which has yet to have a winning review. You just have to make sure it stands out amongst the other reviews.

The last two 'PC longest threads' went nowhere; they barely just got over 50 replies before they sank without a trace. Don't worry, I'll make sure this one survives and doesn't go the same way.
