Yep that's right, there's been scores of these starting up, but all have failed. Let's make this thread a place for PC gamers to chat. Post anything you like in here, comments, reviews, but no spam please.

OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

Nice PC there Hobbo, All I need is a decent 3D card which I'm about to buy and I'll a monster PC that should last me for quite some time. I'll need it for the next few months, the amount of games I want for the PC is huge.

I don't know how you reached that conclusion. Plymouth is lovely place. What with seagulls and sand and stuff.....

Nah, can't beat that...

Athlon XP Barton 2800+
1024Mb DDR 333Mhz RAM
Geforce FX 5600 Ultra
60Gb 7200Rpm Hard Drive

Mind you, my CPU, memory and gfx card are overclocked, so she might well that lil' bit faster. ;) Personally, I'm a bit disappointed with the gfx card's performance, so might well get a top spec card come Christmas.

P.S. Are you secretly saying I should steer well clear of Plymouth?

Hi y'all. I got me a beastly new PC recently, can anyone beat this spec?

Athlon XP2800+
1024Mb DDR 400mhz RAM
GeForce FX 5600 Ultra 256Mb
120 Gb 7200rpm Hard Drive

Does it not stir your loins to imagine such a behemoth?

Hey, why not try the University of Plymouth. The organization is pathetic, the timetabling farcical, the lessons irregular and the tutors retarded, but other than that it's a great place to be.

Yep. So do you go to Cheltenham often then? Go to www.glos.ac.uk and see what they have to offer.

University Of Gloustershire is ok. I go their and do a Computing course. Probably not the best available but it depends on the short of A-level results you got. The main place is in Cheltenham so you may not have to travel to far. I live in Worcestershire only about 15 miles from Uni.

Building computers is fairly straightforward, as long as you go about doing things properly and don't rush it (that's when things go wrong). Is rather good fun at the same time, too.

On a slightly unrelated note, I'm just looking into which university I want to go to (need to make my mind up soon, as my UCAS application needs to be done) and I'm just wondering whether anyone on here could help me out?

I'm looking at something along the lines of Computer Science, and the university's I've shortlisted are Bath, Staffordshire and Hertfordshire. Bearing in mind I live in Hereford (West Midlands, near Wales), are there any other uni's I should be looking at? Anyone got anything to say about the above three?

Any help greatly appreciated, as it's starting to do my head in! :)
