Pffft, never pre ordered a thing in my life and I'm not going to start now.
When I told some friends at school that it probably won't be released until the end of Novemeber, they went ape because of preordering.

Yeah, got mine today also. Only skim-read the mag so far though.
Surprised Halo got 91% - still unsure whether to buy it yet or not (HL2's bound to a far superior game). Also rather shocked at Commando 3's rather low score. Mid you, wasn't going to buy it anyway - too hard for the likes of me! :)
Played one demo so far - Jedi Academy. Thought it was absolutely rubbish and uninstalled within minutes of starting it. Everything about it feels so outdated - can developer's please lay the Quake3 engine to rest now? Just look at the animation! It's making my eyes bleed!
Gonna try out Judge Dredd next - I'm not holding my breath!
P.S. What's all this about missing out the HL2 tech demo on the DVD edition?! We pay more for less!! :(

Turns out I also got mine this morning, just my mum didn't tell me.
The levels where you battle the flood are amongst the best. They are genuinely scary, they just swarm at you.
Also in some bits you can see the Covenant fighting the Flood. Great AI. If you hang back it makes it a bit easier for you as they wipe each other out. Halo is amazing.
