The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
So, as of now, I'm pulling out.
Just to reitterate what I've said in another topic:
"What's all this nonsense about newbies voting. Although most newbies are excellent posters, it only takes 2 days to become a newbie. So, I can set up an account on Monday and vote on Wednesday. Not only that, but many newbies have voted for the people they have done not on the basis of that person's posts, but on the campaign they've run and peer pressure. Not at all the way it should be done- newbies just haven't been here long enough to make an accurate judgment in most cases.
Although the notables having 2 votes each is a good point."

I'll just use this point to plug the topic that me and Drngo has written in Prime- posted by RBS.
GET THERE PEOPLE, and vote for Sega. (or, Nintendo;)

That must be one of the oldest users here?
Super Toad: been here 184 days, posted 135 times.
Sodding idiot: 258 days, 156 posts
Bollards: 1 WIN, 801 days (WOW!), 102 posts
And then:
WaterBiscuit: 118 days, 5 posts.
Now, I know bollards (I think), and they other 2 at the top are genuine. But this biscuit guy really is a joke.
Either way, there has been SOME fixing going on, and unless these "posters" come forwards and explain themselves I'm out of things.

If it's cheating then I'm out. If it's not cheating then people who clearly don't know anything about me have voted for me. That's not the way I want to become a notable.
Which is why it should only be people who have been here for a while (ie Regulars and notables) who get the vote. The system is too open to abuse this way.

Just that it was a pretty large coincidence that 4 newbies turned up like that out of the blue all voting for the same person in the space of 14 minutes.
