Ortega has just brough it to my attention that, in the last hour of voting, several newbies (some of which have only posted 4 times before), jumped out and voted for me. Due to the closeness of the vote, I cannot possibly allow Pro Evo, Monkey Man or anyone else to lose out just because some idiots have been cheating the voting process.

So, as of now, I'm pulling out.

Just to reitterate what I've said in another topic:

"What's all this nonsense about newbies voting. Although most newbies are excellent posters, it only takes 2 days to become a newbie. So, I can set up an account on Monday and vote on Wednesday. Not only that, but many newbies have voted for the people they have done not on the basis of that person's posts, but on the campaign they've run and peer pressure. Not at all the way it should be done- newbies just haven't been here long enough to make an accurate judgment in most cases.

Although the notables having 2 votes each is a good point."

So, I came first/second with the unofficial results, but excluding the questionable newbies I came third. I came thrid out of only the reg and notable votes. Put simply: the election was pretty tight.

So, I'm beginning to side with the idea of 3 notables this time. Or does that just devalue them? Perhaps we'll have to "unvote" some of them ;)

After reading your scmotable thread I'm surprised at you goaty.

Look at who has actually voted for Pro Evo - only one newbie amongst them. everyone else who voted for him did so because they think he is a good poster.

If he has won it's because he got the most votes - simple.

I think Monkey-man and Sonic are both good posters as well and I have already replied elsewhere that if MM doesnt get in then he will get my vote next time.

If your mate doesnt get in Goaty then it's tough - get over it !! ;-)

This is why, no offence, I consider monkey_man and SonicRav to be Notables.
Tactical voting/vote for X if you're not sure is a farce.

Well done Sonic and monkey.

Ok, fair enough Snuggly. No hard feelings?

Anyway, please please don't count the vote of the person who nhas only made 4 posts before voting. That is pure stupidity.

Oh, and please do count WM's votes. Even if he was over the deadline, he meant it as a bit of fun, and hasn't done any harm.

I have no problem with you at all, in fact, that's why I'm annoyed you want to quit, because you're probably the best poster on the site.

I have to read a hell of a lot of the posts that get posted here, and let me reassure you, I recognise those names, they've been around before.

Don't let me get to you, I'm just in a bad mood anyway. I can't count up these votes properly because my other machine's not working. I promise I'll sort it out soon.

Snuggly, there are three newbies (one of whom has only made 5 posts), who voted for me and have never been seen in the forums.

I don't mind getting votes from people I don't know, but I do mind when it's people who are possibly cheating. this guy has posted 4 times before and he's meant to know that I'm a good poster on the site above all others???

And why is it that I always get stick from the staff? In the past Tony has changed the names of one of my topics to "Why Sonic is stupid" and then deleted it when people complain. And now Monkey man and I both resign, and you have nothing to say about his resignation but you do about mine? Can anyone explain this to me?

So you only want votes from people you've heard of? What's the point of that? Can you honestly say you know every single person who's replied to every single one of your topics? How do you know these people haven't just read your topics and enjoyed them? I read most of your topics, but don't post in them, does that mean you wouldn't want my vote?

This was supposed to be a bit of fun, but people are taking it far, far too seriously. If you don't want to be a Notable, then fine. I'm just saying, all the other people who voted for you will have wasted their vote.
