I'm neither a weirdo nor a teacher (aren't they the same thing?) I just wasn't very happy about your blasé comments about the Gamecube. It's a good system, so don't dismiss is it as a childish toy.

Firstly, not all the GC games are childish, many appear so, but are fiendishly addictive and playable games that are the best around.
Whether a game looks childish or not matter none, for look at Zelda & Mario Sunshine; they look childish yes, but they will be awesome games.
Then there's Metroid Prime, Star Fox: Dinosaur Planet, Turok, Timesplitters 2, you couldn't really call any of those titles childish could you?
Secondly, Resident Evil on the GC is not just a simple update, there are many many changes made to the game as a whole, so players used to the original will find quite a refreshing adventure when they play the remake.
Thirdly, Nintendo are the control pad masters. It's a fact. The GC controller is fantastic with perfect design, comfort etc.
