LOL "WE?"
Fanboys...when will they learn?
One example of this with the GC controller is Rogue Leader. Opening and closing the wings on ships such as the X-Wing and B-Wing were done on the same button that was used to accellerate. Of course this is only a minor problem, but it still got annoying in dogfight situations and such when all you wanted to do was speed up but ended up closing your wings and had to wait for the wings to open again before you could fire.
Out of the 3 controllers I think that the X-Box one is best for FPS games because of the way things are positioned. I haven't got small hands or anything so I'm ok holding it. One thing I'm not sure about with it though is the D-Pad. The size is fine but the "webbed" D-pad can be annoying when you want to just say press right but end up getting a diagonal command instead (i.e - a problem when you just want to press one direction in a beat em up and end up getting a different one).
From what I've read, the smaller X-Box controller D-pad is better so I think I might pick one up while I'm in the States and see what its like seeing as Microsoft are depriving us of it. Has to be said I wasn't too happy about that news. Its not that I don't like the normal controller, I'm fine with it, but it would be nice to be given the choice of trying the smaller one to see what I think.

I agree with you on some points, but I have to admit, there have been two controllers that I have used which I absolutely despise. The X-Box and the Dreamcast. Both are uncomfortable and feel as though five minutes were used to design them, and the X-Box one just feels as though too many buttons were crammed onto it.
As for the games line up, no doubt there will be a number of Nintendo's home grown titles as time goes on. But they need to make sure that there are plenty of third party titles (good ones) on the way or Nintendo will end up with another N64.
I wouldn't go as far as to say its a kids console with its games, but its certainly more of a family friendly one which is something Nintendo consoles have always been.
As much as Ninty's will hate it though, a lot of people do see the Nintendo consoles as kiddie consoles because of the image of its main titles (no matter how playable).
If Nintendo want this opinion of them dropped, its going to take more than Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness to do so.
I got rid of my GC because for me, there weren't many games coming out that appealed. I think Nintendo need to keep the adult audience in mind a little more because although its not the be all and end all of audiences, its certainly a large one.
Nintendo need to have this "for kids" look dropped otherwise it could effect third party support later on. The N64 lacked a lot of this and it ended up with a very small library of games when you think of how long it was around.
1. PS2 - A fantastic machine with a huge library of games.
2. Gamecube - Better than the PS2 technically though not in games variety, and it will soon overtake it, it just needs a bit more time.
3. XBOX - Excellent specs. Shame no-one wants to make any decent games for it and it's just a PC in disguise.
4. Dreamcast - It's days are numbered, and though great games like Shenmue 1 & 2 live on, no-one wants one anymore.

Who says anyone hates the XBox?
I'd rather have and Xbox than a PS2, at least thee's a few games that look good on it, mainly made by Sega but that's more than I can say about the PS2 (IMO).
I'd start defending the Gamecube and trying to have a discussion with you lot, but I think it would be a complete waste of time trying to have a conversation with the majority of you, your biased fanboy comments are boring and sad.
when it comes to computers, MS are indeed superiour. consoles and PCs.
> Xbox is the mother of all consoles, but the Gamecube is the DADDY!!
jesus. everyone knows that "mother" out-ranks "daddy" in these situations. eg: the mother ship...the mother of all f**k ups etc etc. sort it out. and no i'm not childish, i just don't take crap from your kind pal. i also agree, the GC pad looks like a kids toy in many ways :-)
You hate the xbox and love the GC, but your always in the xbox forums....
