Yes, but the mere fact that we have life is cause for celebration. Besides, why would you want to live 300+ years? You'd live past all of your family, and see 'em die, I'd hate that.
Personally, I'd rather not die. It's not something I'm looking forward to. I simply cannot honestly say I would rather die than outlive my friends and family.
What's everyone else's view on this?

The fact is we will always want. Even if we have what we wanted in the past. As has happened to me, I wanted something, I got it.. then I didn't know what to do with it or I wanted something more.
In most cases we should except who we are and why we are here, because for that last point there is not an answer. We are here because we are. Rather like Descartes famous but not getting anywhere 'I think therefore I am'.
Nobody ever said life is easy. Nobody ever said life was hard. Make yourself. Its your life that you live in.
