Sorry couldnt resist. =P But seriously, what the hell is going on? Why are 17 people hanging themselves in the same area? And why is the Daily Mail saying it's heavy metal and video games to blame?
Why are the police downplaying the deaths and saying they're unrelated and why are the parents keen to get rid of the media coverage? Are they worried it'll just encourage more kids to commit suicide? That's ridiculous, we all had a tough time growing up but none of us ever contemplated suicide. There's something weird going on in the South of Wales and I'm certain this mornings suicide won't be the last.

I think it really shows how easily influenced teenagers are. I dont know what else i can add really. I'm fairly certain this will continue and may spread to other areas. I really believe the best thing to do would be to have a media blackout on this story because the more attention this gets, the more it's likely to continue. There are rumours now that this is partially influenced by kids looking for infamy.
Well, there's obviously something wrong. I think that the police don't want to fuel the fire, though, which is why they're saying there is no link when there so obviously is.
Wait a minute, were all their parents Daily Mail readers? That's it, it's the Daily Mail's fault...argh! Hate Campaign anyone? :D
But seriously, I'd be surprised if it wasn't an internet thing, I can't see how it would get around so many unrelated teens otherwise. Should be easy enough to trace what sites they visited.
