I have nothing against copying and pasting if the paster makes sure that there is a note at the top of the post which says where they got the original from and that it is copied. That is both common courtesy and legal requirement for most written pieces in any situation.

After that it's up to Snuggly and co whether this piece can be awarded a GAD, but at least they will know that you took it from somewhere else, so there will be no confusion if you were awarded a GAD.

Anyway, How wouold you feel if this was your own work and I had copied and pasted something from a site and won. I bet you woldn't like it.

Of course you're never going to get a completely original idea, but a monkey can copy and paste. You need to write something good, yourself. You don't get prizes for other's people's work, You wouldn't like that if someone stole your work and won a game for it, would you?

I think that copy and pastes should be rewarded as much as original essays. Its about how good the post is and I reckon that the most interesting posts are the ones that make you laugh. So what if I found it on the internet. If you want to you could probably find anything on the internet. Whatever idea you come up with and no matter how original there will always be someone who had thought of it first. (hope this is taken into consideration when awarding GAD's) Also its not like it didnt take any effort in finding something this interesting, I spent long and hard looking for the best posts to post.

No, copying and pasting isn't worthy of a GAD. It's not original work... it's been floating around for a few years now.

I'd say its in with a chance, its origanal and funny, but the final decision is up to SR.
