I find it quite odd that the popularity of this forum hasn't gone through the roof since the release of Gamecube. Oh well...
Seeing as this is meant to be the most popular launch title and I have it, I thought I'd start a thread about it.

I'm finding it really hard to get used to at the mo. I'm only on the 4th mission...the one where you've gotta take out the force field, using the crappest ship available (Y-wing). It's really hard to spot the Tie's in space, ya know.

At least you know now. Once thats done you have to shoot this little area right in the middle of the Star Destroyer bridge...
Hope that helps ;0)

P.S. Unlocked another secret ship! Hint: look at the training mission!

Yeah, I worked it out now. The targetting computer doesn't make a difference coz things that you have to destroy are highlighted in yellow, but its just purple like most other things.

It's a big oval shape, try the targeting computer (y).

P.S. I just unlocked a bonus mission! It rocks, though I don't want to spoil it for anyone...

Oh god, I'm crap. Done the fourth mission, but now stuck on the fifth! I've destroyed the two deflector shield generators on top but can't, for the life of me, find the one underneath!

Yeah I got a nice black GC too. ;-)

As for people having a few problems with that mission 4, I might be able to help you a little. Head in a straight line at the start (Always follow the orange line to where your supposed to be). Order your useless wingmen to go after the TIE's while you concentrate on the main mission. You really shouldn't bother with the TIE's in this mission until right at the end.

You'll see a line of long ships in the asteroid field - as you approach, goto the last one on the right and destroy them from right to left.
After this, follow the orange line and you should soon find the shield you have to get through - use your ion cannon to take out three of the little generator things at each point of the shield (only 3 need to be taken out).
Watch out for a couple of Imperial shuttles that come and attack you though, they tend to make short work of you - try zig-zagging slightly to make yourself a harder target.

After this you'll be in the prison facility. Try and take the gun turrets from a good angle so you can bomb them in a line, it'll save you some time rather than trying to hit them individually. Also, I think the communication dishes you have to destroy take 2 bombs each and you have to make sure you hit the dish rather than bombard the base of them.

After destroying a few more gun turrets a shuttle will carry the prisoners off and this is where you'll want to join your "really helpful wingmen" in taking out a few TIE's. The shuttle will get away after a short time and the mission will be finished.

It's true, it's a very hard mission, especialy (sp?) that bit where you have to bomb the turrets with Ties all over you and some really useless wingmates...

As for the launch, it was quite hard for my friend to find one, he had to look in every shop and then he didn't have much choice of preference, as for me I pre-ordered thus I got a nice shiny black one. With Rogue Leader of course, then I'm going ot get Pikmin on the 14th (release date) and SSBM should be coming throug the post as my GAD win around the 24th.

True but the PS2 was lacking stock and for the first few weeks you could only get it on Pre-order. Sony kinda messed up the launch..

Hmmm, I was surprised by the poor Gamecube launch. I was able to walk into game at 2pm on Friday and just buy one, didn't need to pre-order it or anything. That just wasn't possible with the PS2.......
