Kanoute's shot blatently passed the line, and West Ham should have gone in at half-time 1-0 up. Another big call for TV evidence to be used in situations like this. Stuff like that can decide the premiership championship.
I did notice that their fans were quite muted compared to usual, though. Seemed like they were ton between wanting to win and beat one of the top 3 clubs, and realising they'd be doing Arsenal a huge favour.
Oh well - I suppose some thanks are in order!
Now... COME ON IPSWICH!!!!!
its in their nature...
for a start they hate arsenal and secondly sol cambell plays for them who they would dearly love not to win something at arsenal.
...Let's hope Spurs show the same pride when they play
Liverpool...
Now now, let's not hold grudges :P
We've had a few of our own disallowed this season, some for dubious offsides, and some for exactly the same reason.
This time it actually went in our favour - for a change.
The only reason it's such a big deal is because of the time in the season, and the closeness off the title race. Had this been last season, with United (or anyone else for that matter) many points clear, no-one would have batted an eyelid. Except maybe the Hammers and their fans.
At least no-one (are you listening, Houllier & Thompson?) can accuse us of fixing matches. West Ham certainly weren't there just to roll over. Let's hope Spurs show the same pride when they play Liverpool.
