I would never pay that much for a memory card but everyone will because otherwise they can't save there games. There hasn't been a Nintendo machine with memory cards yet has there?
I think thats a good way to make money by making the price of memory cards high. Because everybody needs them...everyone will buy them.

I never liked the concept of memory cards but since CDs it's always been the way...
